Simplicity at its finest is NOT what i would depict how my life was, nor would i suggest the continuation of my naivety however, as my life escalates into complexity, i hope to keep my optimistic hindsight on life in order to live. Just live. My personal ordeal is to live with no regrets, as though i will die tomorrow. I follow the path that will lead me to who I want to be: someone who people can confide in, to go to when they are in their deepest hour; that's who I want to be. That is my aim in life. Hobbies and interests make my path more flamboyant and enticing, while my family, pet, and friends are the reasons for my existence; the reasons why i try and improve myself. My lack of self motivation for change may be quite obvious, but it doesn't mean that improvement did not occur. It may be so petite, so small, that it's practically invisible, but i guarantee you, i do try. Indefinitely.

At Bankstown RSL

2OO911 - Anna X.'s 21st Birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNA =D !!!

Hey everyone, I'm terribly sorry for not updating my blog lately because 1. I had an assignment due every week (I still do, b ut I have a midsem break next week, so I can take it a bit easier now... hopefully) and 2. because of reason 1., I haven't been going out lately. Anyways, let's get on with the blogging =D.

So last Sunday, my friends and I went to Bankstown RSL Club, organized by Derek. The price for the buffet was a bit more experensive than most RSL buffets. I think it was because of the sushi =P. Unfortunately, I ddin't really get the chance to get anything I ike, but Mimi aws kind enough to share a piece of her eel sushi with me =).It took us a while before we started eating because we were waiting for Yibo to become a member. Unfortunately, Yibo wasn't having a good day with his car. He accidentally carashed his car while going home to get his forgotten wallet. Poor guy =(.

I felt stupid for buying the refill cup ... I could've used the tea cups they provided instead! I felt ilke I wasted $2.50 for nothign =.=. I couuld've used that money fo buy snacks the next time I went out or something! Anyways, the food was nice, but I thought the seafood wasn't so great. Although it felt and tasted cold, it didn't look or taste fresh at all =/.

Unfortunately, we were kind of kciked out of the buffet as well because they closed at 9:00PM.  I felt bad for not being able to finish my dish of desserts but I managed to taste a bit of everything. Poor Derek; he was in the middle of eating and was about to dig into another plate of food (yes, he had lots of plates of food around him =D) but the waiter took it away. I thought that was quite rude =/.

When we left, we loitered around the car park, just talking and playing around. We even had a good exercise by pushing a car. Kenny put his car on nuetral so we decided to see who was strong; Yibo and Thanh at the back and Kenny, Mimi, Carmen and I at the front. I thought we were pretty even =D. Mind you, we also had to push the car with Eric, Derek, Wendy and Sarah inside it!

Around 10PM, we all decided to go home. Since I drove Mimi there, I drove her home, as well as Thanh. While we were putting our seat belts on, we watched Yibo accidentally hitting the column with his rear. Seriously, it was definitely a bad day for Yibo and his car xO! Yibo was okay, but his poor car...
I had a good night eating and catching up with people =). thanks for inviting me Derek =).

teen no more, part #5

11O811 - Yvonne and Jessica D.'s 20th Birthdays.
13O811 - Mimi's 20th Birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIMI =D !!!

Last Friday, Jenifer organized a dinner to celebrate mine and Mimi's 20th birthdays =). The dinner was held at the Bangkok Thai restaurant, inside Capitol Square. I met up with Mimi, Eric, Thanh and Carmen first before we went to Capitol Square. We saw Jenny and Julie at Chinatown and we caught up with them for a bit. While we waited for the others at Capitol Square, we went upstairs to play games or just to hang out. When we finally gathered up at Capitol Square, unfortunately, Jenifer couldn't reserve us a table because they didn't allow her to, so after Thanh put his name down, we hanged around again to wait for our tables. When we finally got our tables, we had to split into two groups because there wasn't a table big enough for such a big group. It was unfortunate, but dinner was still nice =).

We also had the cake at the restaurant as well since we didn't have any utensils if we were to eat it anywhere else. The cake was mango flavoured =D !!! I think they got it because they know I love mangoes =D so much appreciation Jenifer, Carmen and Eric for buying the cake and Eric and Thanh for choosing the flavour =D. Many thanks to Kelly for making Mimi and I home-made chocolate mousse =D. Unfortunately, I was too full to finish it off there and then, so I took it home. Again, unfortunately, I forgot to take it out of the car and so when mum used the cake the next day, she had to chuck it since it's been in a car for more than a day =/. Sorry Kelly >.< !!!

The chocolate mousse that Kelly made =D.
The mango flavoured cake =D.

After dinner, we loitered around the city, as usual LOL. We had fun taking photos with Jenifer and Shirley's camera. Then we went home via the train. Before we reached Cabramatta station, we had a long discussion about who will drive who home. Since it was the first time that my mum let me drive the car out at night that night, I really wanted to drive people home. Unfortunately, when we reached the station, it was past 11PM, which was when my passenger restriction initiates. Hence, I only drove Kelly home. I still need to find a chance to use my GPS. Okay, I did accidentally called the GPS a GSP ... blah, still sounds the same to me >.< !!! Anyways, thanks Jenifer for organizing it, I had fun =D.

PS. Thanks Jenifer for the photos =).

to be 10 years old again

On Saturday, we went to the Western Sydney regional parklands, around Cecil Hills, for a BBQ. Since Linh was the one who organized it, it was mostly meat with only one bag of Caesar salad for my sake hahaha thanks Linh. I guess I still need practice on learning how to BBQ meat properly because the chicken wings and sausages that I cooked became quite burnt >.<. Well, it was okay because Linh and Elvis still ate them =). It was a shame when we couldn't finish all the meat that we cooked and we still have some remaining sausages and bacon that we didn't manage to cook. We had so much food left that My Linh decided to feed some to the rats. Rats weren't the only animals there; there was also this strange looking bird that looked like a cross between a chicken and a duck. Sandra and My Linh called them turkeys instead LOL!

After lunch, we went to the park for some fun. To warm up, we played a game of tips =) unfortunately, by the end of it, it just proved how unfit we all were =/. I had fun watching Sandra, Jack, Linda and My Linh screaming and bopping up and down on the see-saw as Elvis and Tae forced the see-saw to move quicker HAHAHA! The swings were just as bad; all the girls and Elvis had a go on the swings and although it was fun, it was scary as well when the  guys started pushing us higher up the swings LOL! When we saw the chance, we took over the flying fox, with Elvis in the lead. Actually, I think some kids were still there and he just when and took the flying fox from them LOL! The kids were about to leave anyways, that's why Elvis when to take it from them, I think? Anyways, before everyone could have a go, the kids came back, so we gave it up to them lol oh wells.

We went to a petrol station after leaving the park for a short pit-stop. We also decided what to do next, which was to go back to Linh's house and wait for the girls to dress up to go to the city for karaoke. Linda when back to her house to get changed, while the rest of us went back to Linh's house. I had no idea we were going to go to the city, so Linh let me borrow her dress and shoes. If I could, I'd buy her dress and shoes because they were cute =D. She even did my eye makeup hahaha xD. I like being pampered =3. We drove to Linda's house to park the car there since Linda lived closest to Cabramatta station.

When we go to the city, we had dinner at Superbowl in Chinatown. We had sizzling beef, sweet and sour pork and peppered squid. The dishes tasted quite nice, though may be a bit salty. We went to CEO karaoke, but they were full, so we went to Greenbox instead. I guess CEO karaoke is a very popular place. Seeing that I wasn't used to wearing heels, I ended up changing shoes with Linh; she was wearing platforms so even if she's a size bigger than me, it was more comfortable than the heels I was wearing. Anyways, we had 3 hours worth of karaoke alcohol but I guess it wasn't enough for the others because we stayed for an hour extra. We could've stayed longer but Greenbox closes at 2AM. Many thanks to Raymond for paying for most of the alcohol xP.

After we left the karaoke place, Tae and I decided to go home since he had work on Sunday morning. The others stayed back to party at a club instead hahaha. Tae and I took the bus home since the trains weren't running by then. When we got home, we taxi'd it home since both of us were alcohol-induced. It was around 3AM when we got home.

PS. Thanks Linda and Elin for driving us around =).
PSS. My condolences to Rosalyn and her family.

german food is delicious =]

3OO711 - Jessica P.'s 20th Birthday.

On Friday, we had a friendly dinner at Bavarian Bier Cafe. The reservation was at 6:30PM but we got there late because we were waiting for people to show up and Tae directed us to the wrong German restaurant *sigh* deep apologises for all that >.< I do feel bad! Thankfully,  Kenny, Rebecka and Vincent was already there. It was funny how Thanh had the reservation under J.C. Moneymaker and the people working there actually believed him ROFLMAOS!!! The food was great, I had the 'Crackling Roast Pork Belly' and it was delicious; the skin was definitely crackling diving ;D. I ordered a peach schnapps, or so I thought, but got a peach flavoured beer instead; it tasted quite sweet and nice =) not as strong tasted as Heineken and what not =). I shall try the one with mussels; Derek had it and I tried some and it was very good =D. Tae had some veal schnitzel, but rather it turning out to be crispy, it looked more like veal steak lol. Many thanks to Derek for using his discount card for bill.

After dinner, we went back to Townhall for some desserts. Since Passionflower was full, we went to a Japanese dessert store for some green tea frogurt instead. Many thanks to Derek for letting us use his card, and I even get to get the free one as well YAY =D !!! And as usual, we loitered around the city, deciding where we wanted to go and do. Unfortunately, we didn't end up doing anything, so we just went home. On the train home, we played a 'Can-of-worms,' Wendy's version. By Stratfield station, Tae and I got off so that he could drive me home via car.

I had a great time catching up with everyone. Thanks for organising the event Thanh =).

two down, none to go =)

NO MORE EXAMS!!! Well, for this semester anyways =).

I had an exam in the morning, which was Biological Aspects of Ageing, which wasn't too bad. I would like to thank the nice girl and librarian who directed me to the building =). I was seriously lost =S. So before the exam, I met Lisa, Cathleen and Carly again. Lisa actually waved to me in the library when I was asking for directions to T block but because she wasn't wearing her glasses and her hair looked different, I couldn't recognise her. So I waved back, but in an awkward way and pointed to the door to indicate I was leaving. When I was alone I was wondering who that person was and was hoping that maybe the girl mistook me for someone else instead. When I saw them outside the exam room, Lisa was jokingly saying how I don't know her and realised it was her that waved to me. My apologies to Lisa xD. I was happy to see them again since it's been a semester since I last saw them =). They were doing the same exam as me =).

Anyways, I tried to stick with my routine of staying until the end of the exam duration as some sort of hope that I'll be more likely to have better marks that way, but after it strike 11AM, I decided to leave. I waited for about 15 - 20 minutes already after all. My next exam was Health Informatics. I felt like I made up most of the answers up because I really didn't know much. I studied the lectures, read some of the recommended readings and read the tutorial work, but still I couldn't grasp the objectives of the subject properly. Hence, increase of nonsense occurred in my answers. Oh wells, the point was I finished my exams xD !!!

We are going to celebrate it officially tomorrow, but Paz, MG and I decided to do something together as a mini celebration for us finishing our exams together at the same time. Since we all lived in different places and we didn't have myMulti tickets, we decided to head to Lidcombe's RSL club, Dooley's, for dinner. After dinner, we met an old couple that Paz knew and we talked for a while. I wish we were sitting down instead to have a bit more comfort while listening to them lol. We were standing because we were in the middle of going to the toilets when we met them while they were at a table eating. They told some pretty interesting stories that was pretty much all over the place hahaha. Apparently, they were married for about 51 years xO !!! I envy them =) We asked for advice and the secret to their success in marriage was open discussions on everything and good planning for the future =). I shall take that advice on board and hope for the best =).

After talking, and the trip to the lady's room, we went to the game's room and played air hockey =D. The puck kept on getting stuck on one side because someone was stupid enough to use those cardboard glass stoppers (or whatever they're called) as a replacement and got it stuck inside the whole. Majority of the time, I was the one who had to try to get it out again *sigh*. It was pretty funny to watch each other play and overact when losing xD. I guess I was especially loud hahaha! MG was really funny =D she did so many funny things that was cheating that she didn't know LOL! And she played so hard that she accidentally threw her mallet across the floor! We were so surprised that we didn't realise when the puck went into the goal! We had to leave after 2 games because a family was waiting to play after us. I felt a bit bad for taking so long xD.

We were about to leave when we passed the pool table room. We got intrigued and went in. I asked if we need to pay for it but we don't, so we just played =D. We all sucked... but Paz seemed to be the most skilled out of the three of us =). While we were playing, an employee came in and asked us if we were eighteen and we said yes. I guess he still didn't believe us because he asked us for our ID hahaha. I guess we looked like kids since we were short girls and every other table were filled with tall young looking adults. It took a while before we all got the balls in and at the end, we each consecutively got a ball in and as Paz suggested, "it was an epic ending!" To me, it was quite a surprise but I don't know if I'd call it epic, but to her it was definitely epic =). I guess it was pretty awesome =). I think us three girls have some sort of fate between us all =) just because of all the things we experienced since we started university and knew each other =).

We all went home after that. For me, I had a D'n'M with mum in the car and at home. We didn't have one for a long time and this one kind of helped cleared some misunderstandings that occurred in the last couple of days. I'm glad mum's feeling okay now =). My apologies for making her sad in the first place (it wasn't intentional!).

Exam Fever Again

O1O611 - Maxine's 19th Birthday.
O4O611 - Edim's 19th Birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDIM =).

GOOD LUCKIES FOR THE UPCOMING EXAMS EVERYONE =).

Because of the assessments all due in the second half of the first semester, I haven't been going out much and hence, there wasn't much to blog about. With the up coming exams, the exams itself AND my clinical placement period, I don't think I'll be going out much either so much apologies for the lack of blog posts lately =). Well, I'm sure people are too busy to be reading my blog posts anyways. I just want to say good luck on the upcoming exams and happy holidays everyone =).

ANZAC Day Movie Marathon

23O411 - Minhky's 19th Birthday.

Happy ANZAC DAY Everyone=).
Let us remember those who have fought bravely in the war; let us respect the soldiers who made use of their courage to help their country; let us think fondly of those who kept the country safe. May they rest in peace.

To celebrate ANZAC Day, Thanh decided to hold a BBQ and movie marathon at his house. Since Mimi offered to drive me there, I was one of the people who arrived later to the house. Not wanting to be useless, I helped out with the preparations of the food. It wasn't much, but I tried. I still don't understand why we needed so many onions for ... I don't think we finished it =.= So much for slaving away at the stove to fry it for like 10 - 15 minutes =.='. Anyways, the food was great: the smash potato salad, with ham and herbs, was delicious, the brownies were yummy and the meat was juicy (even though half the time it was burnt pitch black ...)

Washing the dishes was a mess... Well, actually I was the cause of it ^_^'. I wasn't used to the lack of space because my own sink was slightly bigger and I kept forgetting not to plug the drain *sigh*. My apologies to Kelvin, Maxine and Shirley. Shirley ended up cleaning the rest of the dishes while I went to blow dry my jumper and socks. Thanks Thanh, for letting me borrow your hair dryer =). The people who were waiting ended up playing pinball on the computer hahaha.

We ended up watching the movies inside the house, rather than outside against his neighbor's wall, because it got a bit too chilly. It got a bit crowded but it was warm =). We had Mimi's box of Favourites (chocolate variety), popcorn and some brownies. It was a shame that the jelly didn't set fast enough =(.

The first movie we watched was Gnomeo and Juliet, directed by Kelly Asbury, with James McAvoy as Gnomeo and Emily Blunt as Juliet. The movie was your typical fairytale story; a parody of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. Though, even though it's predictable, it still brought a smile upon my face; I'd choose a sappy, happy ending over a dramatic, sad ending any day =). I think I'd rate it a 7 out of 10 =).

The next one was The Notebook, directed by Nick Cassavetes, with Ryan Gosling as Noah and Rachel McAdams as Allie. It's a sweet and romantic movie, but if you add the guys' commentary to the mix, you get innuendos, hilarity and romance scenes becoming a joke. One word: ROFLMAOS !!! For example, during the scene where they taking their clothes off and were about to make love, the guys mentioned how disappointed the girl looked ROFLS! I knew what they were implying but I don't think that was what they were trying to act out. Even so, it was hilarious xD. Maxine, Mimi and I couldn't finish the movie off because of Mimi's brother's time restriction but I've watched the movie before. I remembered it was a sad movie but I didn't remember if I cried or not. Speaking of crying, Stephanie did end up crying a bit awww =). I think I'd rate this movie an 8 out of 10 =).

For the rest of the ride home, we some how changed the topic from romance to ghosts. How that happened, I don't really know - oh wait, it was because we passed a 'ghost house' on the way home. Apparently, a truck drove into a house and killed a girl, and she was now haunting the house, but then a new family came in and they were suppressing her because they were people who dealt with voodoos and supernatural related issues. Or so they say anyways. But rather than feeling scared, I felt comfortable and okay with talking about it. We ended up laughing as well =). I think it was Nathan C.'s influence =). He believes in ghosts too but he managed to make me believe that not all ghosts are vengeful ones; they can be just nice, harmless ghosts with regret and that they may be observing people rather than planning to harm them. I'm quite grateful towards Nathan because if it wasn't for him, I'd still believe that all ghosts hold grudges. Watching Ghost Whisperer also helped me with my fear of ghosts =). Anyways, I also mentioned about my incidents when I was home alone; about My Linh's dream and me waking up in my dark house with the radio playing a ghost story. Anyways, many thanks to Andrew for driving me home and I hope they don't have nightmares tonight LOL!

New Year's Resolutions for 2O11

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND ALL THE BEST, HAPPINESS AND SUCCESS TO ALL MY DEAREST FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND TO THEIR FRIENDS AND FAMILY =) !!!

To all my dearest friends and family, I thank my lucky stars for having you in my life and I hope that we will grow old and share our happy, and sad, times together because I want us to grow closer and closer as the years pass by. I sincerely thank you all for being there for me when I needed it the most. I understand I can be an insufferable fool at times (or most) and I apologise for that. I deeply appreciate your friendship, and your existence in general =). My experiences with you all have gradually changed me into the person I am today. In the past, I may have done some regrettable things to those close to me, either intentionally or unintentionally (at the moment, it's the latter since I can't think of anything so far that I've done to intentionally hurt someone, or I hope I didn't anyways) and I'm sincerely sorry about that, but the past can't be changed. Hence, I aim to achieve a happier future with my close ones by making sure I minimize my regrets in the present. This may sound selfish, but I hope you will all continue to join me on the path to a happier future =). I LOVE EACH AND EVERYONE ONE OF YOU and I truly mean it when I say that I wish for your happiness =). You're all irreplaceable and original, and I hope you all know that =).

This is my new year's resolutions for 2O11 (in no particular order of importance):
  1. Be 45+ Kgs.
  2. Listen to people more.
  3. Do better in my studies.
  4. Get my Ps.
  5. Learn to cook more food.
  6. Interact with my family more.
  7. Sleep at the appropriate time.
  8. Find a job.
So far, I have 8 resolutions. Hopefully, I can achieve them all by the end of the year =). I hope everyone can achieve their own resolutions as well =). All in all, I welcome you 2O11 =).

Christmas at a beach

3O121O - Joes's 19th Birthday.

31121O - Cindy T.'s 19th birthday.

We had a spontaneous road trip to La Perouse beach on Christmas afternoon. Seeing that we were driving with five cars, 15 people in total, difficulties were expected to rise; and they did. Honestly, I strongly believe it was the faults of the two cars which sped off in front of the rest when they didn't even know where the place was. Their excuse was that we were driving so slowly, we were almost stopping traffic. We were only going slow enough to let the others follow, to watch out for the right sign to turn at and to follow the car that was leading. I didn't mind if they sped off, but at least know where you were going. If you didn't, then don't act all mighty and drive off like that =.=. Either way, it's their own fault for getting lost and having to turn back to exit at the right place.

When we got there, it took us a while to find parking. I guess it was our fault, seeing that we left pretty late in the afternoon. The beach was pretty small, almost like a bay. We practically did all the things you usually do at a beach: build stuff with sand; play in the water; play football; tan; run around; etc. For some reason, the water seemed much colder than normal beach water =S To me, it was extremely cold, or maybe I just don't really like the cold in general. With football, my deepest apologies to Stephen and Raymond for ripping their clothes T_T I swear it wasn't intentionally. It's just ... with sport, I tend to get a bit aggressive; adrenaline pumps through my veins when there's competition. Sometimes, when I feel unwanted, I want to prove that it's their loss when they don't want me and that I'm actually a fierce opponent. Though, I think my behaviour may have ruined their game, so I apologise for that as well. Jack and Evan joined us later on.

It was not until around 7:30PM before we decided to leave. Strangely enough, rather than getting dressing inside the changing room, even if it was pretty small, we were changing at the back. Why? Apparently, it was because it smells =S ? I just hope no one was looking at us >.<. We all decided to go back to Canley Heights to eat, except for Sandra, Thanh and friends because they were going to go to another party. While driving back, it vexed yet amused me to see Jack and Ellen do tricks on their motorcycles. Jack even burnt himself while trying to dry off his pants LOL. Oh, and unbelievable thing happened: A guy in a civic wanted to race Steven and his sports car, and the civic actually won O_O. Never have I thought that a sports car could lose to a civic O_O. Apparently, it had something to do with the engine of the civic. My Linh said something about it being a turbo. I have no idea about cars, so I'll just stop there.

After dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant, Steven, Alan and Bonny left to someone's house while the rest of us went to have desserts at Little Star, at Canley Vale, which used to be Blue Haven. We had an 8 scoops of ice-cream desserts. The place looks pretty modern and its style seem to aim more at younger customers. They even have an aquarium full of fish, exactly like the ones in the movie Finding Nemo =D. They were so pretty =D. After desserts, we all went our separate ways. Many thanks to Linh for driving me and for inviting me out =). Many thanks to Raymond for shouting me Maccas for lunch and for listening to me talk =).

Odd. We went out on Christmas day, but we didn't really celebrate it LOL.

my first DIY pancakes

Yes, you've read it right. I've never made pancakes before until yesterday afternoon. After a job interview at McDonalds at Stockland, Prairiewood, Linh and I did a bit of shopping around. Maybe I shouldn't have since I was suppose to be saving up money for the holidays. I bought quite a few summer clothes that I plan on wearing to Malaysia =). Anyways, big thanks to Linh for driving me there and for lending me money for my shopping. To repay her, I treated her to lunch, which she didn't end up finishing *sigh*. Then I finished the rest for her >.> ... couldn't help it since I didn't have breakfast or lunch yet.

After buying pancake mixture, we headed off to Anthony's house seeing that he lived so close to Stockland. I made my first pancakes at his house yay!!! It may not look edible, but it was! I burnt a couple, but I end up eating them anyways, so the other two didn't have to suffer my horrible cooking =P. Anthony attempted flipping his pancakes; he failed the first time but succeed the second time. After pancakes, we just watched a couple episodes of various animes and played on his brother's piano =).

Around 4:30PM, we went back to Linh's house to wait for the government inspection, but they already came. So I just ended chatting to Linh and My Linh for a couple of hours before Linh drove me home. Linh's mum included dinner for me as well but unfortunately, I couldn't eat it because I was too full from earlier =( I feel bad, I'm sorry! Up until yesterday, I always finish the meals that Linh's mum made for me. Sometimes, I do wish I grew another stomach =S I did manage to eat some mangoes though. How? Maybe either because it was mangoes or because it wasn't a meal. Either way, the mangoes were delicious =D. After Linh drove me home, I paid her back for the clothes and also included a deposit for paintball. YAY! Paintball =D! I know I said that I prefer laser tag over paintball, but it's been so long since I've been to one. This will be my second time going =). Hopefully, I won't spill all my ammunition before I finish my game, like last time =S.

Anyways, I don't think I'll be updating again for the next two weeks seeing that I'm on STUVAC right now, and next week I'll be having my exams. Wish me luck though =).

10/10/10

10/10/10 - Sarina's 19th Birthday.
24/10/10 - Paz's 20th Birthday.

The 10th day of the 10th month of 2010. That was Sarina's 19th birthday. Now isn't that awesome? Speaking of awesome, wouldn't it be epic if someone's birthday is actually the 11th of November of 2011 next year (11/11/11)? That must make them extremely lucky, and more likely for their wishes to comes true. I hope Sarina's wish does come true seeing that her birthday was on 3 consecutive 10s.

Although a bit unorganized, Kelly being the most organized one there, we managed to throw Sarina a surprise party at Vincent's house, Sarina's boyfriend; he also happened to live down the street from me, so I guess we're neighbors =). Anyways, it was nothing big; a nice get together of Sarina's friends. We had BBQ food, salad, and my mum's home-made Asian sweet dumpling dessert with sweet soup (A/N: I just know the Chinese name of it - tong yune (pinyin anyone =S ?) - so I just made up an English for it =P). We also had a mango birthday cake. I AM SO JEALOUS!!! Lucky Sarina! I didn't know she liked mangoes as well =D !!! Another thing we have in common, YAY! I wanted a mango birthday cake myself for my birthday =( but mum said it's not in season and that it'd be more expensive so she got me an ordinary cake instead >.<. Still, I'm so happy that Sarina got a mango cake =D!!!

After the food, Sarina opened her presents. A card from Edim, 6 figurines where you have to build them yourself (A/N: yeah, I don't know what those figurines are called either... ain't I literate?), the birthday cake from Anna and a necklace wit the letter S from me =). Well, I hope she likes her presents =D and I hope she'll be okay carrying them home =P. Half way throughout  the Pictionary game I had to go home early because I needed to finish my online discussions due today ... I'm such a procrastinator >.

PS. I was in the car while Kelly was driving, without any adult supervision (A/N: then again, we're almost adults ourselves...) and at first it was pretty cool =D, but then I started to be a bit cautious... especially after she pumped in the curb when she was parking >.>
PSS. Hmms... How that I think back, I think there were times were I acted selfishly by thinking about myself, and acting before thinking... I apologise for that, sorry!
PSSS. I'm sorry to my mum. Because of my selfishness, she had to do something for me even though she was so busy, though I did have fun cooking with her. I also remembered how selfless and generous mum also was =). I love you mum. I do wonder why I can never really say it to her face.

bad timing

Birthdays: 11O81O - Kylie's, Yvonne's and Jessica D.'s 19th HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLS =D! ; 13O81O - Mimi's 19th ; 14O81O - Nona's 19th (R.I.P).

Adam and Kelly performed in this competition where $3000 is up for grabs. Unfortunately, Minhky, Joes and I didn't make it in time so we didn't get to watch her. Sorry Kelly and Adam! Since there were five of us (Paz, Edim, Minhky, Joes, and I) it was too expensive to take 2 cabs, so mum suggested that I drive them instead, in 2 rounds. I first drove Paz and Edim because they were there first. Then I went back to the station to drive Minhky and Joes. Unfortunately, on the way back the duet started already. When we got there, it ended 5 minutes ago. Can I say what pathetic management it was? The show only lasted for 10 minutes, the speakers were too loud, and there were no sits for people to sit down and enjoy the music. Although I wasn't there at the performance but Paz, Edim and Karen told us about it.

We just hanged out after that. It was the first time I've ever been in Liverpool Markets, and it was pretty big. It was kind of like a Flemington. We went to Officeworks next and it was hilarious to see Paz so amazed by the place. Apparently, it was her first time entering Officeworks, which I find quite amusing and strange, seeing that she lives in that area. To Paz, it was "a dream come true" for her lol. Seeing she's was artist, I guess it is. I seriously need to take her to more places; she's just so oblivious to so many things!

Next stop was Krispy Kreme. We bought a pack of a dozen of original donuts, and some burgers from Maccas, and just relaxed and enjoy our food in the dining area of Krispy Kreme. By evening, I had to take them all back and again, another two rounds of driving. I honestly don't like driving. The traffic, the rules, the beeping, the embarrassment from my mum, etc. *sigh*. 70 hours down, another 50 to go.

PS. Thanks Joes for the food =).

treasure hunts and execution of pianos

15O51O - Shirley L.'s 18th Birthday.
22O51O - Titan's 18th Birthday.
25O51O - Cindy V.'s 18th Birthday.
28O51O - Peter D1's 19th Birthday.

Deepest apologies for my lack of blog posts. I'm actually typing this blog post at uni at the moment, because I know I would most likely won't be bothered once I get home.

Last Saturday, Kenny had his 18th birthday party at his house. Before I go into details, let me mention Shirley's birthday treasure hunt. The ever so thoughtful Maxine formed a plan to give Shirley a surprise birthday treasure hunt. She gathered Mimi, Vicky, Esha and I to help with this brilliant idea of hers. I would tell you all the tasks and destinations we got Shirley to go to but I dont have the clues. All I could say is that she took quite a while =P. When she finally solved the last clue, her adventure ended with a birthday cake as her reward. We went back to her house to endulge ourselves with cranberry apple juice and cake and chitchated over childhood memories. While the girls played with the exercise ball, I played around with Shirley's Nikon D90, and I sure love it when I capture photos of Vicky eating AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! She's so adorable when she indulge herself =). Speaking of photos, I took and photo of Esha and I thought I would show it to her, but when I did I didn't realise the screen went black. This is how it went down:

Fiona: Hey Esha, have a look at this *holding the camera, she showed the screen to Esha.*
Everyone looked and started laughing.
Esha: What's this? Is this like some kind of racist comment? *laughs*
Fiona looked at the screen and realised it turned black. She laughed as well.
Fiona: I'm sorry! I didn't mean it that way.
Esha: Are you saying I'm too black to be in photos?
More laughter.
Fiona: I'm so sorry! That's not a photo!
Esha: *laughing* Nah, it's okay. I couldn't resist myself.

And yeah ... How embarrassing. It was a photo of her eating anyways =). Maybe I should start a collection of people eating ...

It was around 7PM before Shirley's dad drove us to Kenny's house. Thank you Shirley's Dad! Yep, it was definitely packed alright (~30+). It suprised me so to see so many people dressed to the theme code, which was sexy, because honestly, who in their right mind would wear such revealing and sexually stimulating clothes on a night in Autumn? Definitely not me. The girls and I thought that we were always sexy, so there wasn't a need to dress up ;D. I kid =P. Anyways, THE FOOD WAS GOOOOOOD!!!!! The pork and potato dumplings that Kenny's mum made was delicious! I wish I ate the whole trayful, but I had to save some other people too. Needed to share the love for the dumplings! Apparently, the potato salad was just as apetizing. I think potato should deserve more credit in food. Not only is it a mouth-watering vegetable, it goes with almost anything! Anyways, photos were taken, friends were catching up with one another, food was eaten, alcohol was downed, games were played (spin the bottle, word games, teasing elmo the dancing chicken, lets play pretend, etc.). Then came the cake. YAY!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENNY!!! Unfortunately, kenny only had one candle ... but he made a good speech out of it =). When 1AM was around the corner, the girls, Minhky and I were driven home by Vicky's parents. Thank you Vicky's parents! Another night over.

I honestly thought of staying in on Sunday morning, but I couldn't. I promised Susan that I would go to Biennale with her, along with my PHOTOSOC group. So I did. It was a b*tch to wake up at 8:30AM =.=. I must say, I didn't regret going because it was pretty awesome =D. Contemporary art at its finest. Although the concept was slavery, for some artworks I couldn't see the connection =/. Art sure is hard to interpret. For most of the day we pretty much walked around, viewing artworks, trying to interpret them. If it wasn't for Dora, I don't think I would've understood any of them =). She sure knew her stuff about artists (A/N: she wants to be curator, so it makes sense =D). What was good about the exhibition was the interaction between the viewers and the art pieces =). It was nice running over fake roofs... The day ended with a musical performance. I believe it was also a type of interactive piece of artwork. They made us walk around Cockatoo Island with them to capture the piano. Apparently, the piano was to be executed for criminal deeds... Being the short person I am, I couldn't really hear the entire story, so please don't take my word for it. All I knew was that the piano got executed. The end. If you want to know what happened, visit Cockatoo Island yourself ;D.

Dora, me and Zinah (Cindy in the background).
Cindy and I.
I'm contributing to art =).
Dora - taken by me with Zinah's camera..
Zinah - taken by me with Zinah's camera.
PS. Thanks for the photos guys (Zinah, Esha, Kenny, Julie).

chocolate overdose

31O31O - Annie P.’s 19th birthday; William T.’s 18th birthday
O2O31O - Jeffrey’s 18th birthday

SORRY FOR THE LACK OF BLOG POSTS PEOPLE!!! I know I've been a lazy bum and haven't been blogging much but honestly, nothing much have happened.

Since it was Easter, Kenny decided to hold an Easter party at his house =D YAY! Finally something, NOT relating to uni, have occurred. As usual, Vicky and I were late - fashionably late, mind you ;D. Vicky actually bothered to curl her hair that day, and I attempted to be an Easter puppy. Why an Easter puppy? It's because I didn't have a pair of bunny ears, but I did have a pair of dog ears instead =). By the way, I would like to thank David Lai for driving us to Kenny's house.

It was good to see everyone again, and it was especially pleasant to see Hanh again =D YAY! She came back to Sydney for the Easter break, but she'd be leaving a week later =(.

So what happened? There was mahjong, chocolate, music, chocolate, exploring, chocolate, eating proper food, chocolate, more mahjong, playing Taboo, talking and have I mentioned chocolate? Yep, that was pretty much it really =). I would like to thank Stephanie and Tina, for cooking pasta for us, and Yvonne, for bringing her home-made cheesecake over. The food was delicious =D.

Before leaving, we thanked Kenny and his parents, for their hospitality, and bid farewell to our friends. After thanking Shaun for driving us safely to the station, Vicky, Shirley and I caught the train home and went out separate ways =). I would like to thank Vicky's parents for driving me home =). Ah, it was nice to be driven home =D, though I should really get my Ps soon >.<.

On another note, it was nice catching up with Zak again =). It's almost been a year since I last saw him, and it seemed like he's been having a pretty busy life ;D. We had lunch at Rise Cafe, which was quite good though I wished there wasn't any smokers around >.>. Then we walked around, and talked, before we coincidentally met up with Wendy H. and her boyfriend =]. We caught up with them for almost an hour or two before we went our separate ways. I must say, the conversation was quite... enlightening =). So that was my afternoon folks =).

Oh, I almost forgot, besides lunch, two other things happened today: 1. I DROVE ANOTHER 2 HOURS TODAY =D YAY!!! and 2. when Eric and I went for a walk, we saw a kitty =3. We played with it a bit before heading off but unfortunately, it started following us ... I blame Eric for stopping and calling it over to us >.>. Hence, our adventure to find a home for the kitty began. We went to Mimi's house for a pit-stop; it was nice of her to provide us a spare t-shirt and some milk for the kitty. Thank you Mimi =). Unfortunately, she has a husky so she couldn't keep the kitty. She didn't like cats anyways =/. Our next destination was Vicky, but Vicky was actually at the Easter Show, so she was another dead end. Our next potential owner was Linh, but she wasn't at home, so she couldn't keep the kitty but luckily enough, she knew someone who could =D. After searching for almost an hour, we finally found a home for the kitty =D YAY!!! It's odd how something can make you so happy one minute, but bring you down in the next. I hope the kitty found a good home. I've started missing it alread >.

PS. I would like to thank my cousins for the chocolate eggs =).
PSS. I went to Funky's grand opening at Sanctuary Hotel and made new friends =). I would like to thank Kimlee and Marika for the photos =).
Kimlee and I
 Marika, Claire and I.
 Marika, me and Kat.
 Marika and I =).

it doesn't have to be the 13th to be an unlucky friday

O4O31O - Cindy G. 's 18th, Crystal's 17th and Lisa H.'s 18th.
1OO31O - My Linh's 17th Birthday.

So Lady Luck wasn't on my side on Friday, 5th of March. No, it wasn't Friday the 13th. I repeat: it was Friday the 5th. I thought everything was just fine, and I thought I even avoided a dilemma by remembering to change my books to the one I required for the day. Alas, it was not that simple.
  1. I took out my umbrella that day because I thought it wasn't going to rain. It did =.='.
  2. I forgot my phone. I was supposed to meet up with Eric that day, so it gave me a heart attack when I realised that I forgot my phone >O< ! Luckily enough, I remembered it because it's similar to mine, so it was a-okay.
  3. I made Yvonne line up with me at the Co-op shop for 1/2 hour or more, and when I reached the cashier, I opened my wallet and guess what? $9. I can NOT buy a $154 text book with just $9 :@ !!! I'm so sorry for making you wait with me Yvonne, and  thanks for offering to help!
  4. Met up with Eric and found Edim. Went to Badham Library, where my tutorial usually is, though I remembered something about the location changed. Took a while to even just sign onto the library's computer because it was my first time using it. Thanks to Edim, Eric and a stranger's help, I finally managed to open my uni's email. Discovered that my lecture was at Sci-tech Library - on the other side of the campus =_____='! Got there, missed half the tutorial and learnt nothing =_=. They were just teaching us how to use the uni's library's computers to do research and borrow books anyways.
Yeah... really wasn't my day =(. Anyways, on a side note, I had a fun time catching up with Thanh on Thursday, now that he came back from Vietnam =) (A/N: although the Thai food may not look like there's chili in it, watch out because you might breath a mouthful if you're not careful! It's still delicious though =D!). My time spent with Eric and Edim was just as fun as well =D though I wish I wasn't so unlucky that day =(.

Anyways, let's proceed to something happier, ie. today =D. I met up with Fianna today for lunch and I took her to Prize Paradize. We played a couple of skill testers and chit-chatted =D. Ah, I sure missed her =D. I walked her back to her work place (huge building O_O!) and as a joke, I thought I'd do some elevator trolling and yeah... didn't turn out right. After reaching her level, I had to get out as well to enter another elevator instead =P. It was funny to see her holding a snoopy plush toy to work HAHAHA! What a day =).

It's also nice to know how many CVHS people actually go to USYD as well =D and I'm glad to be able to have some classes with them =). That's from me for now! Ciao =).

Captain Fantastic wants his beer, pronto!

1OO21O - Mark's 18th Birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
11O21O - Raymond T.'s 18th Birthday.
12O21O - Rebecca C.'s 18th Birthday.

You know I got you good Thanh xD !!! You so believed that the beer I promised you was actually the beer image on your birthday card HAHAHA! But I kept my promise; I got you the Heiniken you wanted oh so desperately xD. Anyways, I hope had an awesome time on your first ever  birthday outing =). Though I must say, organize it better next time =.=! Oh, and I would like to apologize and thank Kelly, Vicky, Eric and Thanh for making the cake which I was suppose to make for Thanh, but because I have a bridging course now =.= I couldn't. Though, I shouldn't have expected much, because although they made the cake, they forgot the sugar. So, it was pretty much a salty cake... brilliant guys, brilliant. Out of all the things you forget, you forget the sugar lol!

Groupie =). HB Thanh =).

There was Pepper Lunch, Prize Paradize and even Myers. I've never realised how many levels there were at Myers O_o. I've always thought that there were only 2 or 3 levels, so I had fun exploring =D. I liked it when we were chatting online on the sample DS's, even though we were practically facing each other HAHAHA! We also had a trip down memory lane at the children's book section =). Apparently, from the Mr.Men and Little Misses, I'm Little Miss Whoops, who is the sister of Mr. Bump LOL! But I prefer Mr. bump better =) because he looks cuter xD.
Hello, I'm Little Miss Fiona WHOOPS =).
 LEGO!!!
 DS chat anyone?

Time Zone air hockey =).

Back to Central, to Capitol Square, where we feasted on Korean food. To be honest, I think I'm slowly getting sick of Asian cuisine because, after all, I've been eating it for most of my life - except for rice cakes with chili sauce >=D. You can NEVER get sick of those because they are OH SO GOOD!!! Then it was park time =). Eric, that funny guy, lit up a "sparkler bomb" and chucked it at Thanh as a birthday present LOL! The look on his face was priceless! But don't worry, it wasn't real =). Another funny incident was when Minhky made a mini sparkler bomb and Eric lit it up.
"Wha - What are you doing?! AH! AH! AH!" - Minhky Le.
Luckily Minh pulled the sparkling one away from the others, or else we might've end up with only one eye brow left or something =P. Though, the second time, Minhky tied it to a pole and boy did it blind us O_O! I still prefer the bigger versions =). Ah, good day =). Oh, and thanks to Stanley for driving us home =).

Since the previous day was so good, we continued it at his house today =). Well, not exactly all of us LOL! Just Eric, Vicky and I. This time, Thanh and I made a cake, but not from scratch like yesterday. Again, Vicky and Eric played Army of Two while we baked, except yesterday was Kelly and Thanh. I tried playing it but ... I don't like the screen >=(. We pretty much baked a cake, ate it and played Army of Two. Okay, it was more like Vicky and I were watching Eric and Thanh play, but it was still cool watching virtual heads getting blown to oblivion xD! Anyways, HAPPY PRE-BIRTHDAY THANH =). Don't worry, I'll email you a birthday email on your actual birthday =).

PS. Thanks for the scooter and headphones Thanh =).
PSS. Congratulations to Michael for getting the Rebel job =).
PSSS. Congratulations to Peter D.2 for getting his red Ps =D YAY!!!
PSSSS. Thanks Mark for the photos =).

birthday parties x 2

O7O21O - Katty's, Samantha's and Sandy's 18th Birthdays. HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU GUYS =D !!!
O8O21O - Alice C.K.'s 18th Birthday.

It was Rebecca's 18th birthday party yesterday YAY and I'm proud to say that I made it there ALIVE and ALONE. Thank you Sergey M. Brin and Lawrence E. Page for inventing Google maps xD. It took me a while to get there, and I was beginning to doubt myself and my sense of direction, but thankfully, I saw Nigel with his car parked outside a house YAY!!! I didn't get lost like you all expect me too YAY!!!

For once, I won a game in mahjong WOOT WOOT!!! Though, I really should praise Elaine and her skills. She was winning 6 out of 7 games in a row! What a pro hahaha. Alas, the wind came and blew her luck to Derek's side hahaha. Tough luck Elaine =). Although mahjong is fun, I would like to learn how to play the jenga mahjong next hahaha it looks just as fun as well =D. Maybe I should buy myself a mahjong set as well hms... By the way, applause for Rebecca and Karen and their ability to sing Korean songs *clap clap clap* !!! The rest of us well, we tried but ... it was epic fail LOL! There was also Singstar too, but I think the mic for it was kind of weird... O_o I think I'll just stick with karaoke thanks =).

Mahjong.
 Singstar.

Unfortunately, 2 things happened which I wish hadn't. I had to leave Rebecca's party for a while, in order to meet Julie and hand her the birthday present. The sad part was I couldn't celebrate Julie 18th with her because I wouldn't know how to get home afterward. I do hope she had a great time still! Anyways, the second thing was I missed out Rebecca's cake moment awwwww T_T. I wished I was there =(. Oh, I would like to thank Derek for giving me a lift to and from the station =D. It was also funny how when I left Derek's car, I met Hong and Rebecka on the way to the party lol. It was a shame that they JUST missed Derek because he could've given a lift back to the party =P.

Groupie. Wish I was there xO.

Rebecca and her birthday cake =).

I would like to say that I really liked the fried rice and curry fish tofu YEAH my favourites =D. Thank you Rebecca, and her family, for the invitation, hospitality and food =D. Ah, I hope Rebecca will like her present because I wasn't sure what to get her xO and I couldn't really find any duck related things, that wasn't a toy, so I got her a novelty instead. Speaking of presents, I hope Julie likes her present as well xO!

HAPPY 18th BIRTHDAY REBECCA, JULIE, KATTY, SAND and SAMATHA!!!

Before I finish off, I would like to, once again, thank Derek for driving us back to our suburbs =D. Sorry it was such a bother xO ! (A/N: It was funny how Derek thought he dropped us at Chesterhill Station when he actually dropped us off at Regents Park Station LOL!). Also, again, I would like to Thank VIcky's parents for driving me home! Ah, I sure owe them.

PS. Thanks David for the photos.
PSS. Ah... I'm sick again =.=.

hippies, gangsters and nerds

I recently just left Cindy's 18th birthday party WOOT!!! The theme was to dress up as either a gangster, a hippie or a nerd. I think most of us dressed up as a hippie xD hippies ftw!!! I would like to apologise to Cindy for not giving her a present just yet. Unfortunately, there are certain factors which are obstructing me from eBaying a dress for her and hence, I've decided to chip in with Derek instead *sigh* ... LOL! I hope I'm not too late xO!

My Hippie outfit =).

Back to the party. It sure is lucky to have a chef as a father because the food were sure delicious! It's a shame I couldn't eat more because I was too busy playing games hahaha! Andrew and Derek brought PS2 games over, which includes: Simpsons Road Rage; Tekken; Guitar Hero; and another driving game which I don't know the name of =). I think Tekken is the BEST game to play at a party. Why? Because whether you're the person playing or watching, everyone gets so excited and they start screaming like hell LOL! Hong D. was the funniest when she plays because she just screams at everything LOL! Jen R.D. and Derek were actually pretty good players =D They were pretty hard to beat *coughgamfreakscough* LOL! Michael's another gamer as well LOL he's practically a pro at almost every single game that's available at Time Zone since he goes there a lot. He even came 7th in the Guitar Hero competition at Time Zone. He was actually wearing a 'finalist' t-shirt to the party today lol =D I bow to you man, you're too pro xD.

Gangster, nerd and hippie; one of each =D.

Groupie photos; friends who loves Cindy =). (Plus more!)

Now that I think back, I have no idea why we even bought aluminum foil LOL! Eric, Derek and I went to Woolworths to buy some aluminum foil to "protect ourselves from aliens" *cough*. Yeah... it was fun while it lasted =). I guess it was pretty much hanging around, eating, playing, meeting new people and catching up with each other at Cindy's place. Though it was fun most of the time, the feeling of getting hit in the head, with a golf club, by Vicky was a NOT so fun moment. That's okay hahaha I'm used to injuries anyways ;). Then came the birthday cake YAY!!! It was an ice-cream cookies and cream birthday cake with a picture of My Little Pony =D. I liked it xD but I think i prefer the boysenberry flavour over the cookies and creams flavour for ice cream =). Then came the gifts =D everyone had such cool gifts for Cindy, like Kim's painting, Andrew H.'s Pekingese, 6 weeks old, male dog Piglet, Maxine's home-made croquembouche and Melissa's scrapbook xD they were all awesome presents =D Cindy must've been overjoyed! Then it was group photo time WOOT WOOT! It was funny when Stephanie said "I'm wetting your ball!" because she was leaning on Cindy's green fluffy pillow-like ball, against the green grass. LOL! It was just amusing the way she said it xD.

PIGLET !!!

Cindy's My Little Pony ice cream cake =).

No more cake xO! Viausto you pig LOL!

Groupie =).

After that was just more hanging around and stuff. For the rest of the night, I was with a group of friends upstairs, in Cindy's room, playing spin the bottle and just talking =) however, we had the lights turned off to make it more convenient for Piglet to sleep. HE'S OH SO CUTE xD!!! I also had a go at that electrocuting-thingamabob. There are four sticks which each player holds on to;  the light in the middle will begin to flash red; you press on the button on your stick when it turns green and whoever was the slowest to press it gets electrocuted. I've only played it once, but I don't think I want to play it again lol. Wendy was actually quite funny with her questions and quotes eg. "QUEENSLAND". Rather than swearing, she replace them with the word Queensland LOL! And Shirley, rather than saying 20/20 vision, she accidentally said 40/40 vision LOL! It was also hilarious to watch Minhky squirm under our interrogation with his current girlfriend, Rosalyn LOL!

I know it's not actually Cindy's birthday today, because it's actually on NYE, but I'll say it anyways:
HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY CINDY! Never change yourself because we all LOVE you just the way you are =D. Keep smiling because it always make my day! Words cannot describe what and how I think of you because this feeling of gratitude and thankfulness that you give me is indescribable. I can go on and on about how I am feeling but I'll never be able to reach the end because you, Cindy, are indefinitely, undoubtedly, perpetually worth more than all the words in the world; you ARE the definition of those words. If you ask me what kind of person you are Cindy, I'll reply as "Cindy, you are a Cindy." I know I can provide millions of complimentary words to describe you, so I won't. I'll just type 18 words because it's your 18th birthday. Here it goes: genuine; generous; resilient; positive; benevolent; sympathetic; thoughtful; enthusiastic; intelligent; beautiful inside and out; clumsily adorable; independent; happy-go-lucky; patient; tolerant; lovable; worthy; priceless. I'm blessed to have you walk into my life and even more grateful to have you as a friend. I wish to be able to enjoy the rest of life with you by my side =) and hence, I want to grow old with you Cindy. I LOVE YOU ;D !!!

Cindy, the birthday girl =3.

Cindy and her boyfriend, Andrew =).

I'll say it again when it really IS her birthday =D. Anyways, that's it for now =D bye everyone!

PS. Thanks David, Hanh Hong, Charles and Anne for the photos =).
PSS. I can't believe bothered to spend approx. 2 hours to tag all the group photos, with approx. 20+ people in every one of them =.=" FML.
PSSS. How cool are Katherine's shoes =D ?!?!?!
