Simplicity at its finest is NOT what i would depict how my life was, nor would i suggest the continuation of my naivety however, as my life escalates into complexity, i hope to keep my optimistic hindsight on life in order to live. Just live. My personal ordeal is to live with no regrets, as though i will die tomorrow. I follow the path that will lead me to who I want to be: someone who people can confide in, to go to when they are in their deepest hour; that's who I want to be. That is my aim in life. Hobbies and interests make my path more flamboyant and enticing, while my family, pet, and friends are the reasons for my existence; the reasons why i try and improve myself. My lack of self motivation for change may be quite obvious, but it doesn't mean that improvement did not occur. It may be so petite, so small, that it's practically invisible, but i guarantee you, i do try. Indefinitely.

treasure hunts and execution of pianos

15O51O - Shirley L.'s 18th Birthday.
22O51O - Titan's 18th Birthday.
25O51O - Cindy V.'s 18th Birthday.
28O51O - Peter D1's 19th Birthday.

Deepest apologies for my lack of blog posts. I'm actually typing this blog post at uni at the moment, because I know I would most likely won't be bothered once I get home.

Last Saturday, Kenny had his 18th birthday party at his house. Before I go into details, let me mention Shirley's birthday treasure hunt. The ever so thoughtful Maxine formed a plan to give Shirley a surprise birthday treasure hunt. She gathered Mimi, Vicky, Esha and I to help with this brilliant idea of hers. I would tell you all the tasks and destinations we got Shirley to go to but I dont have the clues. All I could say is that she took quite a while =P. When she finally solved the last clue, her adventure ended with a birthday cake as her reward. We went back to her house to endulge ourselves with cranberry apple juice and cake and chitchated over childhood memories. While the girls played with the exercise ball, I played around with Shirley's Nikon D90, and I sure love it when I capture photos of Vicky eating AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! She's so adorable when she indulge herself =). Speaking of photos, I took and photo of Esha and I thought I would show it to her, but when I did I didn't realise the screen went black. This is how it went down:

Fiona: Hey Esha, have a look at this *holding the camera, she showed the screen to Esha.*
Everyone looked and started laughing.
Esha: What's this? Is this like some kind of racist comment? *laughs*
Fiona looked at the screen and realised it turned black. She laughed as well.
Fiona: I'm sorry! I didn't mean it that way.
Esha: Are you saying I'm too black to be in photos?
More laughter.
Fiona: I'm so sorry! That's not a photo!
Esha: *laughing* Nah, it's okay. I couldn't resist myself.

And yeah ... How embarrassing. It was a photo of her eating anyways =). Maybe I should start a collection of people eating ...

It was around 7PM before Shirley's dad drove us to Kenny's house. Thank you Shirley's Dad! Yep, it was definitely packed alright (~30+). It suprised me so to see so many people dressed to the theme code, which was sexy, because honestly, who in their right mind would wear such revealing and sexually stimulating clothes on a night in Autumn? Definitely not me. The girls and I thought that we were always sexy, so there wasn't a need to dress up ;D. I kid =P. Anyways, THE FOOD WAS GOOOOOOD!!!!! The pork and potato dumplings that Kenny's mum made was delicious! I wish I ate the whole trayful, but I had to save some other people too. Needed to share the love for the dumplings! Apparently, the potato salad was just as apetizing. I think potato should deserve more credit in food. Not only is it a mouth-watering vegetable, it goes with almost anything! Anyways, photos were taken, friends were catching up with one another, food was eaten, alcohol was downed, games were played (spin the bottle, word games, teasing elmo the dancing chicken, lets play pretend, etc.). Then came the cake. YAY!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENNY!!! Unfortunately, kenny only had one candle ... but he made a good speech out of it =). When 1AM was around the corner, the girls, Minhky and I were driven home by Vicky's parents. Thank you Vicky's parents! Another night over.

I honestly thought of staying in on Sunday morning, but I couldn't. I promised Susan that I would go to Biennale with her, along with my PHOTOSOC group. So I did. It was a b*tch to wake up at 8:30AM =.=. I must say, I didn't regret going because it was pretty awesome =D. Contemporary art at its finest. Although the concept was slavery, for some artworks I couldn't see the connection =/. Art sure is hard to interpret. For most of the day we pretty much walked around, viewing artworks, trying to interpret them. If it wasn't for Dora, I don't think I would've understood any of them =). She sure knew her stuff about artists (A/N: she wants to be curator, so it makes sense =D). What was good about the exhibition was the interaction between the viewers and the art pieces =). It was nice running over fake roofs... The day ended with a musical performance. I believe it was also a type of interactive piece of artwork. They made us walk around Cockatoo Island with them to capture the piano. Apparently, the piano was to be executed for criminal deeds... Being the short person I am, I couldn't really hear the entire story, so please don't take my word for it. All I knew was that the piano got executed. The end. If you want to know what happened, visit Cockatoo Island yourself ;D.

Dora, me and Zinah (Cindy in the background).
Cindy and I.
I'm contributing to art =).
