Simplicity at its finest is NOT what i would depict how my life was, nor would i suggest the continuation of my naivety however, as my life escalates into complexity, i hope to keep my optimistic hindsight on life in order to live. Just live. My personal ordeal is to live with no regrets, as though i will die tomorrow. I follow the path that will lead me to who I want to be: someone who people can confide in, to go to when they are in their deepest hour; that's who I want to be. That is my aim in life. Hobbies and interests make my path more flamboyant and enticing, while my family, pet, and friends are the reasons for my existence; the reasons why i try and improve myself. My lack of self motivation for change may be quite obvious, but it doesn't mean that improvement did not occur. It may be so petite, so small, that it's practically invisible, but i guarantee you, i do try. Indefinitely.

so begins the clinical placement

On the 27th of June, I started my clinical placement at Sydney Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital with Paz, Ali, Rachel, Lauren and Claire, with Julie as our facilitator. Rather than talking about what happened every day, I'll just mention some highlights of my 2 weeks clinical placement.

  1. I say, waking up at 5:00 AM everyday was a pain but I eventually got used to it. I didn't have any problems sleeping earlier either since working for 8 hours each day, with 2 20-20 minutes long breaks only, and having to look after all those patients can be quite exhausting. But I don't regret it because it was a rewarding experience =).
  2. The very first patient we talked to was a young NZ man who practically opened his entire emotional, personal and spiritual life to us. I found it quite enlightening and thankful too for this rare opportunity. I never realised how open patients can be towards nurses; really, we are their advocates and I'm quite proud of that =). He said that our encounter was meant to be and I agree - there's no such this as coincidences.
  3. One of the elderly patients gave me a nickname; he named me Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 depending how many days it has been since I started my clinical placement. I found it quite endearing and appreciative because he bothered to remember how many days I've been at the hospital already =).
  4. I was following this young registered nurse (RN) one day and she was quite helpful; she gave me advices and criticisms, she really helped me realise all my flaws in my nursing care and technique, and helped me improve on my skills. As thankful and grateful as I was, I also couldn't help but feel incompetent, realising how little I actually knew about nursing care. Even the things that I thought I could do properly was proven to be not enough when providing care to actual patients. I felt disappointed for the rest of the day, but I quickly gained my enthusiasm again =). If I'm down, then it'll be evident in my care, and I don't want to make the patients feel worse than they already are.
  5. I didn't actually save a life, but I felt like I help prevent it from becoming worse. Paz and I were taking a patient's vital signs when we noticed how low his blood pressure was. We did it twice to make sure it wasn't a mistake. We also checked his observational charts to see if he usually have low blood pressure. His average systolic was around the 100s, so we realised something was definitely wrong. We were going to ask the RN who was in charge of the patient to check it for us, with a manual blood pressure machine, just in case but before we could ask that RN, another RN also noticed the low blood pressure score that we noted down so she went to take the patient's blood pressure manual instead. Thankfully, it was the machine's fault and it wasn't as dangerously low as we got in the first place. If it was genuinely that low, even with the manual blood pressure machine, then we would've activated PACE (which is like the procedure for an emergency in the hospital). I was happy that we did the right thing and managed to 'potentially save a patient's life' xD.
  6. There was an Aboriginal Appreciation Day of some sort at the hospital one day. We (USYD nursing students and facilitators) went to watch the performance, got a free badge and had free sausage sizzle and salad. We also went to a session to listen about the culture and health of Aboriginal people. It was interesting =).
  7. We also went to other sessions at the hospital. There was one that taught us how to use the vital signs machine and another taught us about wounds and how to care for it. I learnt quite a lot from those sessions =).
  8. Paz and I got to watch a cataract operation and wear scrubs. We thought we wouldn't be able to watch it and it was the last day of us working at the hospital, so we were a bit disappointed however; when we got back from our lunch break, the nurses were all saying how they were looking for us and all because we finally got permission to watch an operation. The last patient went up 20 minutes before we came back and we thought we were too late, so we were disappointed and sad, but a nurse brought us up there just to try and see if we can still make it. Lucky for us, the patient was still waiting in the waiting room =D, so we get to watch it. I wished we brought our phones with us so we could take photos of us in scrubs! Though, we did get to keep our disposable eye protectors =). It was disgusting but fascinating at the same time =D. At times, I just wanted to look over their shoulder to see what was really happening, but we just stuck to watching it on the TV screen instead. The screen was pretty clear (HD quality) but apparently, it was much clearer under the microscope O_O! It was actually a strange scene... It was more casual than I thought it would be, maybe a bit too casual... Like seriously! Soft classical/jazz music playing in the background; the anesthetic doctor was just sitting there, playing his sudoku O_O; sometimes, they would even pause and chat a bit =S. It really wasn't what I was expecting. Though, in such serious a situation with lots of pressure, I guess you really would need a bit of mild entertainment to ease the mind a bit.
  9. The stereotypical separation between nurses and doctors was blown away from my mind. I thought that doctors and nurses will have this definite separation between them due to their jobs, but I was proven wrong when I witness such friendly interactions between the nurses and doctors. The anesthetic doctor was nice and was very willing to answer all our questions and was detailed with his explanations =). Yes, some nurses and doctors do have this tense, inexplicable atmosphere around them sometimes, but most of the time, there was barely any hierarchy between them. Well, maybe Sydney Hospital is just a really friendly place =P.
  10. Julie, our facilitator, was a wonderful woman =). Her enthusiasm really helped encourage me a lot during the clinical placement, and seeing her as a nurse was quite inspirational. I admit, she really does love to talk and sometimes get so lost in the conversation that she forgets about what her nursing duty was, but it's quite endearing when I watch her talk so cheerfully with the patients; it really does bring a smile to my face =). Now that's what I call aesthetic knowing - the art of nursing. I'm very grateful and thankful that Julie was my very first nursing facilitator for my very first clinical placement. She really helped me a lot by giving encouragements and helpful advices. I wish she would go to USYD and teach us nursing. Even though it's over now, I still have her number, so it's okay xD.
  11. The very last day of clinical placements was Friday 8th, July. We spent half the day working on our booklets, discussing and talking about nursing related topics (well, most of the topics were related to nursing...) and bidding our farewells to the patients and RNs at the hospital. We gave a card to the RNs, and Ali was considerate enough to buy a card for Julie too. We all wrote in it before giving it to her. We spent our time inside this private room at the library. The room was called History Room (or something along those lines...) and it really did look like an old room, with a mantle, sofas, a wooden table with six chairs and a wall occupied with bookshelves, all of them had books, with no space to spare. After everything was done, we went to Lindt Cafe at the corner of Martin Place, across the Channel 7 building, and had lunch there. It was a bit expensive (especially the desserts), but it was worth it =). After lunch, we took a photo, exchanged emails and bid our farewells. Paz and I joined up with my friends after that, but I'll blog about it on another blog post =).

It was an exhausting 2 weeks of clinical, but I experienced many things that made it all worth while. It was definitely a rewarding experience, and you feel appreciated when the patients are thankful for your care. It's nice to know that I can be able to ease their pain or make them feel better. I regretted nothing, and wouldn't mind doing it again (even if I don't get paid, though it'd be nice if I did =P).

thai-sation

Recently, I've been eating out a lot, either with family or with friends, and it's mostly been Thai food for a change. Last Saturday, Mum and I went to Mounties to celebrate an early Christmas dinner. Apparently, mum got a discount on dinner tickets fur playing table tennis at Mounties.Mum thought it was a buffet that's why she bought them, but it was actually a dinner where families and friends in table tennis sit together and eat =S. Since it was only my mum and I, I thought we will be sitting by ourselves. Luckily, mum's friends joined us because it would've been embarrassing if it was only us two sitting at a table for ~10 people =S. Though, I must admit, I did have the urge to just go home instead because I was the only young person on the table and I was getting lonely, but since mum has already paid for the tickets, it was okay. What they meant by buffet was the dinner was a buffet type. The food was okay; I mostly ate salads since I already earlier that day. I guess it wasn't so bad since I get to talk to senior who does/did nursing, like me =). That's one family dinner over and done with.

The next night, I had another family dinner for my cousin's birthday at this Thai restaurant called Yai. My cousin decided to change restaurants for a change of taste, or location, etc. Since majority of the family stop liking the Golden Seafood restaurant, I wonder if we'll continue changing restaurants for the rest of our dinners... Anyways I bought my cousin macaroons from Adriano Zumbo, a a famous French patisserie. Speaking of which, many thanks to Linh for driving me there the other day. We went to the one located at Rozelle. It was a completely different place there =S. Everything was more expensive, there were many dogs, many rich cars like BMX, and there was even a wedding horse carriage driving down the road! As expected from a rich area. Though, to be honest, the Vietnamese food that we tried wasn't as great at Cabramatta. Both the meat and rice as a bit too try for my liking. Maybe we just grew up in Cabramatta and just got used to the taste there =S. Anyways, back to the family dinner. The food was pretty nice though I think I'd like it better if it was more spicy. Unfortunately, I ate an entree that was made of chicken because my cousin ordered it for all of us to eat. Because it was inside the dumpling, it was kind of hard to remove the chicken without removing the entire filling. Though, I must say, it was delicious =D. I think it was one of the most delicious dishes I had all night. Since I don't usually eat Thai food, the food tasted different, in a good way, especially that dish with banana leaves, prawns and noodles in it; it tasted kind of exotic to me =). Anyways, overall, I had a pretty good evening with the family =).

Monday came, and I was out and about again. This time, I was out with friends. I went to Broadway to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows #1.I must say, the movie wasn't bad but i thought they added a bit too many irrelevant scenes and shorten scenes where they shouldn't have. Oh wells, I guess they had to since it was a pretty long book. I think I'd rate it a 7/10 overall. Watching the movie makes me want to read the book again, but I don't think I'm bothered to do so =P. Anyways, after the movie we went to eat at Newtown, at a Thai restaurant called Atom Thai. In my opinion, I thought the food here was better than the food at Yai. Maybe it was because of the food we ordered or the company of friends. Overall, the meal was quite delicious. My favourite dish of that night was the beef salad that we had first. I don't know if it was an entree or not, but it was really nice. We mostly ordered curry and shared it amongst everyone. Half the food was spicy because half of us liked to eat spicy - Thanh, Derek, Mimi, Hanh and I =D YAY for spicy food! It was kind of funny watch Derek ask the waiter if the chicken was free ranged because it seemed like the waiter didn't really understand English that well. Ah, that's okay because I've haven't been eating chicken for a while anyways, so it's okay if I didn't eat it for another night. The ice Thai tea that Hanh recommended was delicious! If there was another restaurant that had that, I'd order it again =D. Anyways, after dinner, we all went home since we didn't have anything else to do. Many thanks to Mimi's brother, Andrew, for driving me home =).

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows #1 official trailer.

PS. Farewell to Wendy because by now, she would be in Hong Kong with her family, enjoying herself =). I hope you have a great time and take care =D! Hope to see you soon! We'll miss you!!!
PSS. Thanks to Hanh for the photos =).

you can never have enough cheesecakes

16O81O - Tony's 19th Birthday - Happy Birthday =D !!!

I think Mimi might be sick of cheesecakes now seeing she was given 4 for her birthday xD. There was a homemade raspberry one from Maxine, mini Hokkaido one from me, one from her sister and another coffee/caramel one from Shirley and Vicky.

I visited Mimi after uni, on Friday. We just talked, eat cheesecakes and played World Band Tour =). You know, Tiger is almost as tall as me when he stands up O_O. He's cute, but I don't think I would want to be left with him because with his strength and horny-ness, who knows what he'd do to me >.

I am honestly tired of sitting in the car with my aunt and uncle now. Not that I dislike them or anything, but they sure argue a lot. We got lost with my Uncle's directions, and that was because he didn't trust my Aunt's directions even though she's  been there before already *sigh*. I also kind of feel sorry for my Uncle's mum. They treat her like she's a vegetable O_o. Well, not exactly, but kind of...? I know she's old, but come on! She isn't disable =.= she can buckle and unbuckle her seat belt, she can open the door herself, she can walk to places. I don't mind doing those things for her, but seriously why are you treating her like she's useless. I think I'd be offended if I was in her situation. Anyways, we went to eat at the Canterbury RSL Club. The place was huge! And the interior design was quite magnificent. I mean, they even have their own mini fountain inside, and a jungle looking garden! To be honest, the food was not worth the prices. They were normal, nothing spectacular, but the prices were expensive as the restaurants at the city. Maybe it was to make up for their decorations? For once, I thought that night's dinner was quite nice. I actually talked quite a bit, something that I don't usually do during dinners. It was pretty funny when we were talking about our bad driving habits. I guess it's cause it's something that all of us can finally relate to. There was an awful lot of birthday cakes that night too, which I thought was odd. I mean, if it was one or two, it would've been okay, but it was like .. three or four O_o. I feel like a mango cake too actually lol. We haven't celebrated with a birthday cake in a long while *sigh*.

The next day, Shirley, Vicky and I went to Mimi's house for a birthday visit. Shirley brought her Singstar over so we just played musical games and ate cheesecake for the rest of the afternoon. When nightfall came, we walked Vicky home before getting driven home by Mimi's brother. Thanks Mimi's brother =).

That's it for now =). Bye!

my first sashimi boat =D

O4O81O - Elliot's 20th
O7O81O - Jessica T.'s 19th

Saturday was a busy day. Animania workshop with Tony. What sucked was I had to wake up at 7AM to catch a bus, and then a train, to Redfern because there was track-work *sigh*. I should thank Tony for joining me in the morning though since his workshop actually start at 1PM. I made some acquaintances, and had fun playing games. I was surprise to see Geelong and Danger there, but it was nice to see a familiar face =). I'm helping out as a backstage crew, though I wish I chose maid cafe instead. It's the first time Animania was including maid cafe into their activities. You can cosplay AND get free entry into the event =D. I saw it, but I didn't choose it because I thought you weren't really going to dress up, or rather than dressing up yourselves, you help other people dress up ... anyways, I don't know what I was thinking. I chose backstage because I'll be able to see the cosplay performers =D! YAY!

Since Tony waited for me for 2 hours, it was right to wait  for him for 2 hours as well. It wasn't too bad, I just fell asleep on the couch. After the workshop, Tony and I went to the city to eat. We were going to go to Ichi-ban to eat but it was really crowded. So we went to look for Jess's present instead. I know, it was a late-minute present. Eventually, I found an almost perfect present: a book with 'Witch' and 'Son of a Witch' combined =D. As most people know, Wicked is an excellent musical. It's a shame that it's going to end soon *sigh*. Unsure if Jessica would have the chance to watch the musical, I bought her the book instead. We went to the food court to eat and after that, Tony and I  went our separate ways. He went home while I stayed at the city til it was time for Jess's birthday dinner.

The dinner was at Shoyu, a place which I've never been before. It was a Korean and Japanese restaurant owned by Korean people. Altogether, it was $25/person. It was a tad expensive to what I usually pay for but it was worth it. There was a lot of food and for the first time in my 18 years of living, I had a sashimi boat =D. Of course, other things were delicious as well, like the dumplings we had for entree. We most ate Japanese food for dinner, but our last 2 plates were Korean. I must say, I should learn not to put too much wasabi on my salmon =_=". I couldn't stay to go clubbing with Jess, but I hope she had a great to with everyone else. Being out from 8AM - 11:30PM can take a lot out of a person!

Craving for more sashimi, Wendy, Eric and I went to the sushi train at Market City to satisfy my appetite on Monday night. We could've joined up with Derek at Paramatta, but he had an assignment due soon. Good luck Derek =D! I admit, I'm a pig. Most of the plates were mine. Thankfully enough, Eric was generous enough to shout for most of the meal. So we had 23 plates altogether, $3/plate. You MUST try the fried prawn/chicken/scallop/etc. whatever else they can fry because it's just mouth-watering! There was another dish that was really good too! Unfortunately, it was chicken... I ate it without knowing T_T so when I went to order another plate and saw the name of the dish, my heart shattered; a) I ate chicken that was most likely not free range and b) I couldn't eat it anymore T_T. It was chicken sushi with sweet and sour sauce and mayonnaise/melted cheese on top T______T maybe if I can just take the chicken out and just have the seaweed and rice with the sauce topping... *sigh*

AHAHAHA!!! Before I forget, I felt sorry for Eric to eat with the world's 2 most clumsy and messy eaters AHAHAHA! I was pouring soy sauce into my dish, but then I accidentally bump it over, and then later Wendy did the same thing except hers dripped down to the floor as well ROFLMAOS! *sigh* Thankfully, I wasn't wearing a light coloured top, or else it would've been stained, as usual.

Tonight, mum took me to Cabravale Diggers to have an early celebration for my birthday tomorrow seeing that I had a society meeting tomorrow evening. I do miss eating their salad with french vinaigrette dressing, but their mashed potatoes seemed different from before. I think they baked it O_o. I think I prefer it as it was before. Anyways, another night well spent =).

PS. Thanks Princess for the photos.

being memorable can be defined as good AND bad

28O71O - 妈妈 's Birthday.
3OO71O - Jessica P.'s 19th Birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY WOMAN =D!

Out of my 70 hours of legit driving, I've only properly driven at night once, and it was the night when I drove mum to Granville RSL Club for a buffet dinner. Let me say, besides the fact that the raining did not ease my discomfort with driving during nightfall, but the food was really not worth it. Yes, it was a buffet. Yes, there was a variety of food. And yes, it was an offer of pay for two people for the price of one; but no, it was not of good quality. I like eating, but I must say I was quite disappointed. That is all I'm going to say about their food. By the way, please don't mix seafood and oily food together, they'll just upset your stomach ...

On another note, may I say what an excellent job Christopher Nolan did with Inception? Linh and I went to watch it the other night and it kept my glue to my seat. Now, I don't know if you would feel the same way as I did about the movie, but I do highly recommend it. I would rate it a 8-9/10. Rather than writing my hindsight about it, I'd rather not spoilt it. So I'll just provide you the trailer instead =). Next stop, hopefully Toys Story 3 =).

By the way, I'm back at uni again. It was only just last week that I was still on holidays ... *sigh* one month of holidays was just too short - compared to the three months holiday we had after HSC that is. Anyways, yes I chose psychology again. It's not so bad. Just the fact that we have completely different lecturers except for Caleb, our Stats. lecturer *sigh*. This time, he's teaching Cognitive processes. Why, oh why, couldn't we have Lisa, our social psychologist lecturer, again? Ah, I guess it's not so bad. At least he's better than the Human Development lecturer. Speaking of lecturers, we have a young, recently graduated, from our university, handsome, Korean man as one of our psychology lecturers =D. He teaches perception, so it's a pretty fun topic to learn about *sigh*. He makes up for our HSBH1009 lecturer; an Indian woman with a very strong accent. Seriously! There's no point of having lectopia if you can't even understand her. If you can't understand her the first time, listening to her 100 times again isn't going to make it any easier. Anyways, my other elective is an online subject and... let's just leave it as that =). You don't need to know what it's about ahahah... Anyways,  I should stop here, I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow. Ciao!

as Vivid as Avatar can get

I have a confession to make: I went to play during the exam period.

The Sunday before the exams started a group of friends and and I went to the Vivid Festival at Circular Quay. My initial excitement for the festival came crashing down at the sight of the so called 'vivid light show' *sigh*. Yes, the continuously changing lights on the Opera House were fascinating. And yes, the free torches was also amusing to play with. But I was quite disappointed at the lack of vivid lights =(. Even the trips around the crowded markets was more exhilarating. I admit, there were a couple that were intriguing, but overall the entertainment wasn't that commendable.

Another unhappy moment was when my short stature got in the way again. We wanted to watch the water show but it was too crowded. Mark even gave Kelly a lift, but was futile as well. We only managed to hear the story, and with the help of Naomi's camera, we get the tops of the equipments and other colourful props and people =D. The show was about how an Indian explore found Australia. It was unbelievable, but it was true. It's a shame that we only learnt about the history of the Aboriginal and the British history. There were so many other histories, about Australia, in the perspective of other countries as well.

May I say that I have never been so tired in finding food until that Sunday night. We literally trekked all around Circular Quay before ending up with where we began: McDonald. *sigh* It was worth it though, since Kelly shouted us the family meal =D. Thank you Kelly =D !!! So after the meal, we took one last trip to the Opera House before heading back to the station. I guess Naomi got a bit excited about leaving because she played with her torch so much that it fell apart! After 10 minutes worth of concentration and hard-work, we managed to put most of the torch back together again. Naomi had to leave to meet her parents, so she was left with a handful of torch gears in one hand and an almost completed torch in the other. Mark was nice enough to give Naomi his to have a look at when she got home =).

On the way home, Samuel taught us how to play this ABC slap game. It was fun =D. A bit painful, but fun =D. I think the game really lightened up the tired atmosphere around us. I was really glad to see Sarina again =D. I haven't seen her for half a year, or more, so I was very happy and excited to see her again =). I hope Kelly enjoyed her night seeing she was the one who organized the outing =). Besides the disappointing lights, I quite enjoyed my night =).

The next outing was after my Psychology exam, which was a B*****!!! It was THE hardest test I've done. I thought I would be alright with it since I liked studying psychology and that I studied fairly enough for it. But no, I was extremely mistaken. No wonder people doing psychology needed a 96+% ATAR for it. It may be an interesting course to learn, but it was a b**** to study for. I hate the fact that it's such a heavy weighing too! 65% weighing! Are you trying to make us fail on purpose?!

I digressed. Anyways, before going to Thanh's house, Eric and I ate lunch at Ichiban Boshi. Please have the omelet =D. It was delicious! Really worth the money =D. So at Thanh's house we watched Avatar, which was AWESOME =D !!!! I would rate it 9 out of 10!!! I took a point of for the ending... the Jamunji title replica, as suggested by Mark. I'd go on about the storyline, the quality, the acting, etc. But why not let you watch it yourself and see for yourself instead. One thing's for sure, it was more vivid than the lights at the Vivid festival =D - or maybe it was because it was on blu-ray ... either way, the movie was excellent overall =D. The storyline may have been a simple one, but the execution was great =) good job James Cameron =D! Thanks for the movie Thanh, and thanks for the food Susan =D!!! The popcorn was yummy, as usual =). Anyways, here's the trailer for Avatar to keep you interested ;D :

treasure hunts and execution of pianos

15O51O - Shirley L.'s 18th Birthday.
22O51O - Titan's 18th Birthday.
25O51O - Cindy V.'s 18th Birthday.
28O51O - Peter D1's 19th Birthday.

Deepest apologies for my lack of blog posts. I'm actually typing this blog post at uni at the moment, because I know I would most likely won't be bothered once I get home.

Last Saturday, Kenny had his 18th birthday party at his house. Before I go into details, let me mention Shirley's birthday treasure hunt. The ever so thoughtful Maxine formed a plan to give Shirley a surprise birthday treasure hunt. She gathered Mimi, Vicky, Esha and I to help with this brilliant idea of hers. I would tell you all the tasks and destinations we got Shirley to go to but I dont have the clues. All I could say is that she took quite a while =P. When she finally solved the last clue, her adventure ended with a birthday cake as her reward. We went back to her house to endulge ourselves with cranberry apple juice and cake and chitchated over childhood memories. While the girls played with the exercise ball, I played around with Shirley's Nikon D90, and I sure love it when I capture photos of Vicky eating AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! She's so adorable when she indulge herself =). Speaking of photos, I took and photo of Esha and I thought I would show it to her, but when I did I didn't realise the screen went black. This is how it went down:

Fiona: Hey Esha, have a look at this *holding the camera, she showed the screen to Esha.*
Everyone looked and started laughing.
Esha: What's this? Is this like some kind of racist comment? *laughs*
Fiona looked at the screen and realised it turned black. She laughed as well.
Fiona: I'm sorry! I didn't mean it that way.
Esha: Are you saying I'm too black to be in photos?
More laughter.
Fiona: I'm so sorry! That's not a photo!
Esha: *laughing* Nah, it's okay. I couldn't resist myself.

And yeah ... How embarrassing. It was a photo of her eating anyways =). Maybe I should start a collection of people eating ...

It was around 7PM before Shirley's dad drove us to Kenny's house. Thank you Shirley's Dad! Yep, it was definitely packed alright (~30+). It suprised me so to see so many people dressed to the theme code, which was sexy, because honestly, who in their right mind would wear such revealing and sexually stimulating clothes on a night in Autumn? Definitely not me. The girls and I thought that we were always sexy, so there wasn't a need to dress up ;D. I kid =P. Anyways, THE FOOD WAS GOOOOOOD!!!!! The pork and potato dumplings that Kenny's mum made was delicious! I wish I ate the whole trayful, but I had to save some other people too. Needed to share the love for the dumplings! Apparently, the potato salad was just as apetizing. I think potato should deserve more credit in food. Not only is it a mouth-watering vegetable, it goes with almost anything! Anyways, photos were taken, friends were catching up with one another, food was eaten, alcohol was downed, games were played (spin the bottle, word games, teasing elmo the dancing chicken, lets play pretend, etc.). Then came the cake. YAY!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENNY!!! Unfortunately, kenny only had one candle ... but he made a good speech out of it =). When 1AM was around the corner, the girls, Minhky and I were driven home by Vicky's parents. Thank you Vicky's parents! Another night over.

I honestly thought of staying in on Sunday morning, but I couldn't. I promised Susan that I would go to Biennale with her, along with my PHOTOSOC group. So I did. It was a b*tch to wake up at 8:30AM =.=. I must say, I didn't regret going because it was pretty awesome =D. Contemporary art at its finest. Although the concept was slavery, for some artworks I couldn't see the connection =/. Art sure is hard to interpret. For most of the day we pretty much walked around, viewing artworks, trying to interpret them. If it wasn't for Dora, I don't think I would've understood any of them =). She sure knew her stuff about artists (A/N: she wants to be curator, so it makes sense =D). What was good about the exhibition was the interaction between the viewers and the art pieces =). It was nice running over fake roofs... The day ended with a musical performance. I believe it was also a type of interactive piece of artwork. They made us walk around Cockatoo Island with them to capture the piano. Apparently, the piano was to be executed for criminal deeds... Being the short person I am, I couldn't really hear the entire story, so please don't take my word for it. All I knew was that the piano got executed. The end. If you want to know what happened, visit Cockatoo Island yourself ;D.

pyromania much?

 13O41O - Eric J.T's 18th & Jason Le's 18th Birthdays.
You guys are arsonists in the making. - Linda.
I wouldn't say that we're arsonists in the making, but I do believe that we're becoming more and more like pyromaniacs xD !!!

Last Friday, Eric, Jenii, Hanh and I went to the Maritime Museum, seeing that they've never been there before. I didn't mind going there again because the place was for free AND it was educational; the others were enlightened by the origins of the various mythical creatures =).

After bidding farewell to Jenii and Hanh, Eric and I went to Strathfield to meet up with the others for his birthday dinner =). The restaurant we went to was called DooRi's, and it was a Korean restaurant. It's strange how often I go to a Korean restaurant for dinner ... Anyways, we had BBQ YAY =D I was extra cautious as to how I was eating because I didn't want to end up vomiting again >.> Hence I alternated between meat, rice and salad =D It was a good thing that they provided us an unlimited supply of salad =D! Oh, and it was also a good thing that Vicky was cooking for us, most of the time, or else our BBQ stove would've looked like the boys' one: pitch black. Overall, food was GOOD =D.

Our next destination was the park at Chesterhill, and although the park was quite large and spacey, walking in wet grass wasn't my ideal type of journey. The boots did nothing. NOTHING I tell ya! It was a shame that we couldn't see the stars because we were too preoccupied with lighting up the sparkler bombs and by the time that we remembered, the sky became too cloudy from the smoke =(. Ah, there's always next time =). The sparkler bombs were SO worth the running, the suspense and the wet feet =D. Eric and Thanh made 2 sparkler bombs each, but only 3 out of 4 worked; Thanh #2 didn't happen =/ (yes, he named his sparkler bombs). Other things that made it funny were: 1. Shirley's cautiousness; 2. Derek's passion-fruit cheesecake; 3. Minhky's engaging and explicit explanations on sexual intercourse; and 4. Wendy and her interest in guns ;D AHAHAHA!!!

Funnily enough, the photos without Kenny looked much better .. LOL!

We made a pit stop at Hanh's house, to bid farewell and all, seeing that she was leaving the next day =(. It won't be after a couple of months before she comes and visits us again. We'll miss her >.
For the first time, after getting her red Ps, Kelly drove her family and I to Jason's place, where his 18th birthday party was held, on Saturday. Good job Kelly, I survived =D. It was good to catch up with George and Adam again, and there was plenty of food as well =D. I ate more salad than meat ONLY because the salad was really delicious =D. I know it was a mushroom salad, but I wish they didn't bombarded the salad with so much mushroom ... ngeh, food's food =D. Mushroom's good for you anyways, so no biggie.

Kelly and I still had adrenaline pumping through our blood from the previous night because we decided to end Jason's birthday party with a blast ;D. Emma, Kelly's cousin, drove Kelly and I to Stockland to buy gaffa tape and sparklers in preparation for our first sparkler bomb. Next time, I'm going to think twice before entering Emma's car ... she bloody zig-zagged the car when I was picking up the sparklers in the back seat! My right side ached because I squashed her 2 cocoa cola cans during the swerve =.='.

So what happened? After having the cakes (one was jelly and the other was mango), we organized ourselves into 5 cars and drove ourselves to the closest park. I was kind of doubtful, seeing that Kelly and I haven't done it before nor done any pre-tests for it, but I guess watching Eric prepared them, after all those times, have paid off =). It succeed. IT SUCCEED >=D !!! We accomplished our goal; we ended Jason's party with a blast =D YAY!!! I hope you liked your gift Jason, because we sure did =D.

Around 7:30PM, Emma drove Kelly, Tracey and I back home. Thank you Emma for giving me a lift home =). I now know why Kelly's so funny and awesome: it's genetics =). It was nice meeting Kelly and Jason's family. If you're wondering, yes they're cousins =).

Now yesterday, I went to visit UNSW students =). I met up with Vicky, waited for Eric, and then spent time with them at their tree spot =). Shirley wasn't there because she jigged *sigh* though she did call Eric, so I get to talk to her on the phone instead =). While Eric was at his tutorial, I was crashing Vicky's and Michael's Arts lecture ... *shoots myself* You'd think I've learnt my lesson after crashing Wendy's Philosophy lecture *sigh*. Fortunately, 30 minutes into the lecture, Eric called to go eat =D YES!

I met up with him and was introduced to Sarah and Nathan =). Although I heard a lot about them, it was nice to actually get to know them personally =). So we headed off to Pancakes on the Rocks, and because it was Eric's birthday, we went to the one at Circular Quay because that was what he wanted *sigh*. We met up with Michael and Vicky later, at Noritas, but Michael couldn't stay long. The rest of us stayed and played a round of Pictionary. Eric and I lost >.> The punishment was a hit on the head, with the plastic hammer, from each person of the opposite team. Eric received harder blows because it was his birthday =D HAHAHA!

I was too tired to talk much, but I do home Eric had a good time =). I know it wasn't much, but I hope he liked my present. It was all I could do >.<. Anyways, I would like to thank him, for shouting me food, and Vicky, for driving me home =). Yeah, you don't have to tell me, I feel like a burden to them at times >.

PS. Thanks Kelly for the photos and videos (1 &2) =).
PSS. I am now officially one of the junior executives for the PHOTOSOC at uni =D YAY!!! The other person is Cindy Chong =D. Nice to meet your acquaintances everyone, and I hope I'll be able to contribute to the society! If you need help, want to bring up something or if I've done something wrong, please tell me =D I'll do my best to help! I feel more important xD!!!

chocolate overdose

31O31O - Annie P.’s 19th birthday; William T.’s 18th birthday
O2O31O - Jeffrey’s 18th birthday

SORRY FOR THE LACK OF BLOG POSTS PEOPLE!!! I know I've been a lazy bum and haven't been blogging much but honestly, nothing much have happened.

Since it was Easter, Kenny decided to hold an Easter party at his house =D YAY! Finally something, NOT relating to uni, have occurred. As usual, Vicky and I were late - fashionably late, mind you ;D. Vicky actually bothered to curl her hair that day, and I attempted to be an Easter puppy. Why an Easter puppy? It's because I didn't have a pair of bunny ears, but I did have a pair of dog ears instead =). By the way, I would like to thank David Lai for driving us to Kenny's house.

It was good to see everyone again, and it was especially pleasant to see Hanh again =D YAY! She came back to Sydney for the Easter break, but she'd be leaving a week later =(.

So what happened? There was mahjong, chocolate, music, chocolate, exploring, chocolate, eating proper food, chocolate, more mahjong, playing Taboo, talking and have I mentioned chocolate? Yep, that was pretty much it really =). I would like to thank Stephanie and Tina, for cooking pasta for us, and Yvonne, for bringing her home-made cheesecake over. The food was delicious =D.

Before leaving, we thanked Kenny and his parents, for their hospitality, and bid farewell to our friends. After thanking Shaun for driving us safely to the station, Vicky, Shirley and I caught the train home and went out separate ways =). I would like to thank Vicky's parents for driving me home =). Ah, it was nice to be driven home =D, though I should really get my Ps soon >.<.

On another note, it was nice catching up with Zak again =). It's almost been a year since I last saw him, and it seemed like he's been having a pretty busy life ;D. We had lunch at Rise Cafe, which was quite good though I wished there wasn't any smokers around >.>. Then we walked around, and talked, before we coincidentally met up with Wendy H. and her boyfriend =]. We caught up with them for almost an hour or two before we went our separate ways. I must say, the conversation was quite... enlightening =). So that was my afternoon folks =).

Oh, I almost forgot, besides lunch, two other things happened today: 1. I DROVE ANOTHER 2 HOURS TODAY =D YAY!!! and 2. when Eric and I went for a walk, we saw a kitty =3. We played with it a bit before heading off but unfortunately, it started following us ... I blame Eric for stopping and calling it over to us >.>. Hence, our adventure to find a home for the kitty began. We went to Mimi's house for a pit-stop; it was nice of her to provide us a spare t-shirt and some milk for the kitty. Thank you Mimi =). Unfortunately, she has a husky so she couldn't keep the kitty. She didn't like cats anyways =/. Our next destination was Vicky, but Vicky was actually at the Easter Show, so she was another dead end. Our next potential owner was Linh, but she wasn't at home, so she couldn't keep the kitty but luckily enough, she knew someone who could =D. After searching for almost an hour, we finally found a home for the kitty =D YAY!!! It's odd how something can make you so happy one minute, but bring you down in the next. I hope the kitty found a good home. I've started missing it alread >.

PS. I would like to thank my cousins for the chocolate eggs =).
PSS. I went to Funky's grand opening at Sanctuary Hotel and made new friends =). I would like to thank Kimlee and Marika for the photos =).
Kimlee and I
 Marika, Claire and I.
 Marika, me and Kat.

twice the celebration

19O31O - Peter D2.'s 18th; Viausto's 18th; Ralph's 20th Birthdays.
23O31O - Derek's 18th Birthday.

It initially started with dinner at Merrylands RSL Club, on Saturday, where we "indulged" ourselves with food, like how Derek would put it =). It was supposed to be an outing to Ocean Land/Aquarium, but some people, including the birthday boy himself, had tests the next few days so he changed it to a dinner instead. The congregation was quite nice seeing that we haven't really seen each other since uni has started, and the outcome of the outing pleased the birthday boy quite a lot =).

Anyways,  obviously with buffets, you'd want to eat your money's worth, right? Right. According to Derek, we needed to eat 7.5 platefuls of food (don't forget they need to be expensive too - seafood!) to eat our money's worth. I did aim to eat 7 plates, but I only managed just over half way. If you knew me, you'd know I eat a lot when out, so why did I only managed to half the amount that I aimed to eat? Because of my incompetence. Rather than alternating between salads and filling dishes, I ate mostly of filling (and not to mention cheap, because they weren't all seafood) dishes and drank lots of water. I faced the consequences in the toilets... No, not from the bottom (you disgusting people!); from the top. I practically emptied out all my stomach contents. *sigh* Had to start again. It wasn't so bad. I didn't feel sick afterward; I actually felt hungry again LOL!
Better out then in! - Vicky Fong.
Yes, I completely agree Vicky LOL! Thank you to Kelly, Vicky and Wendy for being there for me during that disgusting moment and making me laugh afterward =D. We went back to the table and continued eating and catching up with everyone else again. Speaking of food, Derek got a free mini chocolate cake, with a sparkler candle, because it was his birthday =D. Apparently, his mum tipped them off about it =D awww! Also, because it was his birthday, we get to stay longer at the buffet =D YAY! Did you know that they have a chocolate fountain? Chocolate covered marsh-mellows and fruits, here I come =D!

Since Derek's birthday was on a Tuesday (aka. uni day) he had his celebration earlier, so we decided to give him a surprise visit instead =). Let's have a standing ovation for Wendy's organising and planning skills *claps hard* =D. The plan didn't go completely to plan, but it was just as good =D. We managed to get a fairly large group of people to participate with event, who all helped with the banner, the cake and the D-formation =D so thanks to everyone, Derek's surprise was a success =D. It was slightly ruined when Derek cheekily previously suggested that he didn't want to go to uni on his birthday, because it was his birthday, and people were telling him to go. Obviously, something was up ;D. The chipped-in money was partially used for the event itself, but the rest would be given to Derek and our 18th birthday gift to him. We would've bought him a ticket for shark diving but a) they didn't provide vouchers, b) he didn't know when he'd be free next and c) it's unlikely that he wanted to go shark diving alone, and we only had enough for 1 ticket. Hence, Wendy came down to the decision of just giving him the money =). Anyways, thanks to David and Shirley L. for providing the photos =).

Wendy leading Derek to the location =).
 YAY!!! OUR COLOURFUL BANNER =D!!!

I agree Vicky, " best "i am totally surprised about this unexpectedly unexpected get-together" face ever :D "

Lamington and honey-flavoured swirls with gummy babies anyone?
D-FORMATION =D !!!
There were more people than this =).

Hope you had an awesome one Derek, and that you liked our surprise =D. Don't worry Derek, even though you're a year older doesn't change the fact that we all love you just the way you are =D (especially Wendy ;D). Stay strong, stay healthy, and continue smiling that smile of yours because anyone who sees it will always feel GOOGOL TIMES better than they already do =).

it doesn't have to be the 13th to be an unlucky friday

O4O31O - Cindy G. 's 18th, Crystal's 17th and Lisa H.'s 18th.
1OO31O - My Linh's 17th Birthday.

So Lady Luck wasn't on my side on Friday, 5th of March. No, it wasn't Friday the 13th. I repeat: it was Friday the 5th. I thought everything was just fine, and I thought I even avoided a dilemma by remembering to change my books to the one I required for the day. Alas, it was not that simple.
  1. I took out my umbrella that day because I thought it wasn't going to rain. It did =.='.
  2. I forgot my phone. I was supposed to meet up with Eric that day, so it gave me a heart attack when I realised that I forgot my phone >O< ! Luckily enough, I remembered it because it's similar to mine, so it was a-okay.
  3. I made Yvonne line up with me at the Co-op shop for 1/2 hour or more, and when I reached the cashier, I opened my wallet and guess what? $9. I can NOT buy a $154 text book with just $9 :@ !!! I'm so sorry for making you wait with me Yvonne, and  thanks for offering to help!
  4. Met up with Eric and found Edim. Went to Badham Library, where my tutorial usually is, though I remembered something about the location changed. Took a while to even just sign onto the library's computer because it was my first time using it. Thanks to Edim, Eric and a stranger's help, I finally managed to open my uni's email. Discovered that my lecture was at Sci-tech Library - on the other side of the campus =_____='! Got there, missed half the tutorial and learnt nothing =_=. They were just teaching us how to use the uni's library's computers to do research and borrow books anyways.
Yeah... really wasn't my day =(. Anyways, on a side note, I had a fun time catching up with Thanh on Thursday, now that he came back from Vietnam =) (A/N: although the Thai food may not look like there's chili in it, watch out because you might breath a mouthful if you're not careful! It's still delicious though =D!). My time spent with Eric and Edim was just as fun as well =D though I wish I wasn't so unlucky that day =(.

Anyways, let's proceed to something happier, ie. today =D. I met up with Fianna today for lunch and I took her to Prize Paradize. We played a couple of skill testers and chit-chatted =D. Ah, I sure missed her =D. I walked her back to her work place (huge building O_O!) and as a joke, I thought I'd do some elevator trolling and yeah... didn't turn out right. After reaching her level, I had to get out as well to enter another elevator instead =P. It was funny to see her holding a snoopy plush toy to work HAHAHA! What a day =).

It's also nice to know how many CVHS people actually go to USYD as well =D and I'm glad to be able to have some classes with them =). That's from me for now! Ciao =).

O-week

23O21O - Danny K.'s 17th Birthday.
25O21O - Jenny K.'s 18th Birthday.
27O21O - Amy H.'s 20th Birthday.

Monday: It was my 2nd last bridging course and Kevin was nice enough to give me a tour of the university after class =). I had a fun time exploring the place though I preferred a cooler weather than a sunny 29 degrees Celsius.

After the tour, Kevin taught me how to play pool =D After an hour's worth of games, although Kevin wasn't the best pool player, versing against an amateur like me guaranteed him the wins of every game we played =P. It was a pretty fun day overall, so thanks Kevin for the tour and the game =).

Tuesday: YAY! My completion of my bridging course was rewarded with a certificate... and a survey. It was okay because class was an hour sort and the survey didn't take that long to finish =).

My next destination was my Nursing and Midwifrey faculty welcoming. I was an hour late, but the welcoming only lasted for 2 hours rather than the said 5 hours O_o. There I met up with Rebecca and I also discovered that Henry L. Tran was also doing the same course as me =D! YAY! I have a friend in my course =D! I don't think our timetable will be the same, but at least we're doing the same course together =D. Also, hopefully for next year's clinical nursing practices, I'll be able to adjust my timetable around to be in the same classes with Rebecca =D!

After the welcoming, Rebecca and I head off to the city to have lunch at Pepper Lunch before meeting up with Karen and Mimi at Kinokuniya. As we left the place, Mimi and I decided to go home while Karen and Rebecca decided to go karaoke. Another day over.

Wednesday: I know USYD's o-week was starting today, but I went to UNSW's o-week instead with Vicky, Eric and Julian instead =P. We missed the amazing race activity so we went on a tour around the campus instead =). I'm sure the amazing race would've been a really fun activity but I had fun playing the games/activities provided by the tour guides, so I guess it wasn't so bad missing out the race =). I must say, the freebies of UNSW is WAY better than USYD any day >=) Why? Free food.
It's funny how you ask the most questions when you're not even going here. - Vicky Fong.
Yes, I wonder too. The UNSW volunteer students kept asking me what course am I doing. I know it's a typical question to be answered by a UNSW student - but I'm NOT a UNSW student. So it always end up like this:

UNSW volunteer student: So, what course are you doing?
Fiona: Oh, I don't go here.
UNSW volunteer student: Oh, okay. What uni are you going to then?
Fiona: USYD. UNSW doesn't provide the course I'm doing.
UNSW volunteer student: Really? What course is that?
 Fiona: Nursing, so yeah ...
UNSW volunteer student: Oh, that's a shame ...

It always ended up with something along the lines of 'it's a shame that you can't go here.' Honestly, in junior years, I've always wanted to go to UNSW because both my cousins went there, but I thought it through. Just because they went doesn't mean I have to go there as well. Besides, the architecture of USYD captured my attention =P. It MAY be a silly reason to choose USYD but who cares. Here I am, a USYD student.

It was also nice seeing Nathan and Wilson =D. They were handing out V.I.P cards for Verandah Bar GAH! I should've done that too xO!!! I need to try harder with this promoting thing =_=!

Thursday: After experiencing a day of UNSW o-week, it's only right to experience my own uni's o-week as well. I met up with Kelly and we both went exploring =). I joined Access and got a free show bag =D. Luckily for Kelly, Kevin gave me his show bag token when he renewed his, so Kelly got a free show bag as well even though she didn't join Access =P. NO FREE FOOD >=( !!! But they provided Coke Zero. I still would've preferred food over drink.

Anyways, because I joined Access, I was able to join the uni clubs/societies as well =D! There were so many that I wanted to join but I didn't have enough money on me to pay for the membership fee. Hence, I was only able to join 2 clubs: SU Anime Society and Animal Welfare Society. Besides, I don't think I would've been able to go to all the club meetings if I joined to many.

We saw Vincent, Matthew and Tu around. Apparently, Tu and Matthew were also going to USYD as well =D YAY! More USYD friends =D. Oh, speaking of friends, I made a new friend, Danny, who used to go to Kelly's tutor =) YAY! Another friend =). Everything else was just freebie collecting and scabbing food from the free BBQs =).

Friday: Got tired of uni, so I stayed home instead =).

Saturday: Yesterday really wasn't my day =.=. My optometrist was out for lunch when I went there to get my glasses and I couldn't wait for them to come back because I had to catch the bus to Bankstown. Yes, which means there was track work that day as well =.=. Another thing was that the post office was closed >=( which means I couldn't ask them to check for my student ID tracking number xO!!! Uni's about to start and I STILL don't have my student ID! It's been about a month, or more, since I enrolled GRRR! I feel so angry!

Anyways, so why did Kelly and I need to go to Bankstown? It's because we were going for a job interview for Le Warp. Hopefully, we'll get the job. I feel like I signed away my social life when I wrote my name down... Yes, I know I've been searching for a job for months but since uni is going to start, my weekends will be my only free days to just relax or to see my high school friends. If I work on those days, my free time will be reduced to next to nothing *sigh*. I shouldn't worry =) I shall find a way to work around it. Besides, it's not definite that I'll get the job anyways. Still, wish me luck anyways =).

neighbourhood

Another week ended for my math bridging course *sigh* 2 days left. So again, to treat myself for finishing another week, I didn't go straight home. Went to Eric's house because he was late; he forgot to pack the duck, that he was giving Rebecca, into his bag. That silly billy =P. I do thank him for his hospitality though =) the mini slices of bread with raisins and butter was a nice snack. Then onward to Rebecca's house where we conversed a bit before heading home. I'm glad Rebecca's doing nursing with me, even if she is doing arts rather than health science. Hopefully, I'll be able to see her in my second year =). Anyways, Vicky came over to my house and we all had ice cream and berries while watching Get Backers =). (A/N: It's not berries ice cream, it's actually combining ice cream with slightly frozen berries together =D mmmms). Mum thought it was funny how we all have scooters =P. Old school ftw!

So Vincent's 1-year-old sister was having a birthday party today, and like any other Vincent-organized parties, the place got rowdy, noisy and quite fun =). The food was good, as usual =) though I think I should help with the BBQing next time .. i had to bite off half my nam neng off because it was burnt .. what a waste of food xO! It was nice seeing some old faces *coughKevincough* and new faces as well =). It's amazing how big Vincent's family is =D. I wish I'll have a big family too =D I don't know about wanting it being as big as Vincent's, but half of the size would be just as nice =). Thankfully, I live on the same street as Vincent, so I could arrive and leave whenever I want =D. Anyways, I would like to thank Sarina and Kelly for visiting me and helping me with my maths home work =P. Half of it is done, another half to go... *sigh*. Anyways, thanks for the party Vincent =). OH! Before I forget, I sincerely thank Vincent's grandma for the red pocket =). HAPPY CNY to you too!

work hard, party hard

14O21O - Thanh H.'s 18th Birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!

HAPPY CNY & VALENTINES EVERYONE =D !!!

So a few things happened this. For one, I finished one week of my maths bridging course YAY!!! Another 7 days to go ... Luckily, unlike UNSW, we don't have a test at the end of the course, and compared to UTS, our classes goes for every consecutive weekday while theirs is every day =D. On the plus side for UTS, their bridging course is for free =.= Lucky!

On Thursday night, I had a pre-CNY dinner at our usual restaurant. The food was good, as usual, but it seems like the service went downhill O_o. I think they need better waiters. Chit chat, here and there. Nothing interesting to mention. After dinner, Marina and I went back to her apartment (A?N: She's now living in with her brother, William) while William took our parents to run some tests on them for his Ph.D assignment. Ah, I sure love their apartment xD it's cosy, stylish and modern. When I have a house, I want it to be similar to theirs, though with a more family feel to it =).

After Friday's lessons, I met up with Jessica and her niece, Cian, and did a bit of shopping with them =D. I had fun 'testing' my nails with the samples =D (A/N: don't you just love shops and their testers? It was convenient for me because I was going to go clubbing the next night and the theme is red =D). I think the sales people are annoyed with me now .. ^_^'.

Also it's been ages since I took capitols =D Though taking photos is fun, you can't actually stick it on things, make the photo smaller or even decorate =P ahh, I sure miss those days where we spend plenty money on miniature sticker photos *sarcasm* But I wouldn't mind taking them once in a while for fun =). It's one of the best ways to kill time at the city when you have nothing to do =). We also when to Prize Paradize and I must say, Cian is quite good at skills testers =D She got a bag full of toys all by yourself =D. Speaking of Cian, she is such a funny, talkative girl =).

Cian: a;klsdfja;sfkjsadf it's like a g-string for your feet. akfja;dfkjad uncomfortable to wear a;ksdfja;sfd rain and gets dirty.
Jessica: Yeah, that's why it's called a thong!
Jessica and I laughed.

Cian's mother, Jessica's sister, was such a warm person =D She hugged and thank me straight away for taking care of her daughter hahaha xD She's more welcoming than most Asian parents. Well, she IS a designer, so she would be less conventional that older Asian parents. Then Jessica and I trained it back home. It took longer than expected because we apparently took the wrong train, so we had to change trains =.=. Oh, and the weather for that day? RETARDED! Extremely hot at first, and then raining hard afterward =.= It's like the calm before the storm, literally.

Saturday night came; it was time to party >=). First stop was to Peter D1.'s farewell party. He's going to Thailand for a gap year =D. I wish I could travel to Thailand! I hope he'll take care of himself anyways =D and have heaps of fun! I couldn't stay long because I had to catch the train to get to Veranda Bar early (A/N: I'm a promoter for them, so if you're planning to go clubbing, don't be shy to ask me about it =D I can even provide you V.I.P cards!). Overall, I had fun socialising and catching up with everyone from school. It's amazing to see Brandon there hahaha =D I never realised how connected he was >=D. I wish I stayed longer because I'm sure I missed out heaps of  things that must've happened after I left =(. Still, thanks for the invitation Peter =D.

It sucks that I missed the limited stops train by 30 seconds =.= and hence, Vicky and I waited another 20 minutes for the next limited stops train. Although we made it to the club before 10:30PM, we got in afterward so she had to pay $20 =(. On the positive side, we got a free rose YAY! For both of us, it was our first clubbing experience, so we weren't sure what to do. The place was definitely clean, with strong security, so that was a good thing. Tables and walls were decorated with rose petals and cardboard love hears, strongly emphasizing the red in CNY/Valentines.

I met a few friends and the club, which I know were under my guest list, so I definitely know I made some money that night xD YAY! I also received a red pocket from Vinson by wishing him 'Cong Hai Fa Choi' =D. I wished it was money, but it was a free drink coupon, DAMNIT! I should've used it on the night as well lol! Thanks anyways =). Though, I did use the one I received another one from Wilfred, my team leader =D thank you! I'd tell you what I ordered, but I don't remember the name. All I remember from the description the bar tender gave us was 'pineapple' and 'not that alcoholic' =P. I had a sip of each of the drinks Kenny had and the only ones I remembered was vodka with redbull and Jack Danielles. I thought the vodka with redbull tasted nice =P. There was even one that tasted like cough medicine O_o. My team leaders wanted to get me wasted but luckily, I didn't. I only stumbled a bit because my feet was aching from all the dancing LOL! I think I need more practice with the heels. Though, I do wish I took photos last night but none of us had a camera that night =.= . I was wearing glittery, silver eyeliner =D IT WAS SO SHINY!!! Oh, and note to self: buy contacts earlier. I ended up wearing my glasses because my optometrist closed early for CNY and Vicky didn't let me not wear my glasses because she didn't want me to walk blindly around the club. Photos can be viewed from this website (facebook page of the CEO of the club xP).

I saw Nathan =D YAY!!! But I didn't see his date NO!!! Well, hopefully there will be a next time =). I managed to make a couple of new friends =D which is a good thing because being a promoter for a club means increasing your social networks and improving your social skills =P. I need to get tips of Nathan because he's a natural at this =D. Hopefully, he'll get off probation soon so he could help me xD !!!

There were a few interesting things that happened at the club, but I'll just leave it blank hehehe =). It'll only be between Vicky and I. If you're desperate, then you can ask me, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'll definitely tell you =P. Hint: alcohol - induced males.

Me, Vicky, Kevin and Diana.
Michael, me and Vicky.

The only thing I regret is not being able to have a CNY eve dinner with my family =(. I haven't had one in AGES. I know I said we had a pre-CNY dinner, but this one is actually at my Aunt's house, where the parents do the cooking. My mum went but unfortunately, I didn't =(. Hopefully, there will be another one next year.
