Simplicity at its finest is NOT what i would depict how my life was, nor would i suggest the continuation of my naivety however, as my life escalates into complexity, i hope to keep my optimistic hindsight on life in order to live. Just live. My personal ordeal is to live with no regrets, as though i will die tomorrow. I follow the path that will lead me to who I want to be: someone who people can confide in, to go to when they are in their deepest hour; that's who I want to be. That is my aim in life. Hobbies and interests make my path more flamboyant and enticing, while my family, pet, and friends are the reasons for my existence; the reasons why i try and improve myself. My lack of self motivation for change may be quite obvious, but it doesn't mean that improvement did not occur. It may be so petite, so small, that it's practically invisible, but i guarantee you, i do try. Indefinitely.

our years differ

26O1O9 - Julie P.'s 17th Birthday.

So another year at high school again. Oh sorry, let me rephrase that again. It's our LAST year in high school. *sigh* Quite depressing really, yet exciting at the same time, you know, being the oldest grade, have the most responsibilities, being the top priorities to the teachers and etc. It's strange looking at the year seven, how they always make the same mistake where they hang around the front of the school, for a week or so, and then get scold and be sent into the quadrangle. *cough* Actually, that happened to us too, for hanging around the girls' senior toilets in the morning *coughcough* Whatever. LOL!

I digress. It was a busy week for me, and I'm pretty sure it was a pretty busy week for everyone else. On Monday, it was Australia Day and Chinese New Year. I was obliged to visit a festival, in Merrylands, for Australia Day and observe the activities of a sound manager. We, the volunteers, were giving privilege to go backstage and watch the band play. We managed to differentiate the sound frequencies between the front house speakers and the monitor speakers (speakers for audiences and speakers for the band). My senses tingle at the sight of ponies and horses, making me yearn for a ride on them, even if I was 5 years above the age of what you would consider as 'child' and weighed 40 kgs at that time. Alas, my mother preferred us to leave, to reduce the risk of receiving 'bad luck' during the event, since it was CNY and all. You know, CNY actually last for 15 days, but since we're in Australia, it only last for one day; but for the Asians who live here, they celebrate it for at least a week. That's why, even today, there were lion dances, fireworks and performances for CNY. Oh yeah! Julie P.'s birthday is on the same day as Australia day. I wonder if that's a good thing or not? But she's extra lucky this year, since CNY was on the same day too!

Another day passed; it was Tuesday. I had a meeting with the TAME leaders (from the Bring It On festival). There were some trouble since the room wasn't initially booked, so we had to wait for the coordinators to fix it. I guess we weren't being such a library-loving group due to the noise pollution we created upstairs, so we faced the consequences of getting kicked out of that area. Oh wells. I think most librarians can be so grouchy and sensitive O_o. Anyways, our meeting last about two hours before it adjourned. I got to meet the other leaders of TAME, which was cool! It is such a small world, don't you think?

I welcome you, Wednesday morning. Yes, the day we go back to school. Amazingly enough, I woke up before my mum did. I think it was because my bad habits I inhabited during the holidays. It's amazing what 6 weeks of holidays can do to you. Alas, I had morning classes that day, so I arrived early to school. Funny enough, only 5 other students were there, with me, for the class. That's okay =). I was grateful to see everyone again, especially the ones that were on vacation during the holidays. Julie and Kelly were generous enough to get souverneirs for us. MWAHAHAHA I guess I was greedy with the cookie AND the keychain xP. I couldn't help it! One was a short-term souverneir, and the other was a long-term one. HEHEHE! Kelly's one was much more natural and thoughtful =D. She actually gathered dead sea coral for us! How sweet is that? Yes, it almost seemed like we never were on holidays actually. I'm quite okay with my timetable because I have a free period on the last period on Friday, and we get to go home! How awesome is that?! I know it's not as good as going home early as a Tuesday afternoon, but it's good enough for me =).

The next few days were filled with work, work and more work. Oh, we got some of our assessments back, and we learnt that there isn't going to be half yearlies for Biology or Chemistry. Rather, they are going to make us have heaps of topic tests, even after the trials. Oh wells. I feel 'emotionally stress' already within the first few days of school! It's only the first week of the year God damnit! Kelly and I volunteered to help fund raise for Valentines Day, which is coming up. *shivers* Couples domination I tell ya! Couples domination! Think about all those single, lonely hearts out there! Think about me! ROFLS! I'm fine =). Ngeh, who needs to be attached LOL! Oh yeah! Let me tell you about the school canteen! It's cheap. It's healthy. It has a wide variety of food. Besides the slightly slow paying part, it's awesome! I guess the lunch ladies just need to get use to the register =). I wonder if they would have a different culture food for each month or something. It would be so authentic then! Oh, they have new buildings in F block. Some of the year 12s were thinking it was quite stupid how they demolished the building in F block years ago, and then make 2 new ones now. Oh wells. I guess it was because the one, years ago, was an art room and not a lecture room. These changes actually make the school a better place. Just a little bit =).

Initially, we were thinking of making a cake, but misunderstandings and events occur, so we're delaying it to next week... again! Titan and I rendezvoused at Cabramatta and watched Zak, and his crew, perform lion dances, and how they competed with the other team. We did a bit of shopping ourselves, too. It got pretty tired, and we got hungry, so we ate at the Sushi Bar. We had trouble finding Zak the second time, and ended sitting at the corner of John Street, waiting for him to pop up sometime. Of course, we managed to meet up with him again. Then we caught the bus home, and went to Titan's house. We made a trip to Officeworks, and then I got driven home, by Titan's mother. What a tiring day, but it was fun! We bumped into a lot of people today like Katty, Tracey, Raymond, Tu and Henry. I don't remember who else we saw, but sorry if I didn't mention you xO!

That's enough from me now! It's a week's worth of events! TOODLES!

sinful humour

23O1O9 - Cathleen's 17th Birthday.

This blog will be emitting a humorous, positive connotation, and not a serious one, although I'll be talking about the seven deadly sins for half the time. You must be wondering why I'm even mentioning about it anyway. Who knows, maybe I'm suffering from one... duh! *homer moment* Everyone suffers from a sin every once in a while. It's almost inhumane to not experience the sensation of being sinful.

To start off, I just came back from a family dinner, as a post-celebration for the Chinese New Year. It's obvious that restaurants, and those alike, will be extremely busy on that day. Hence, we've decided to celebrate it earlier for the sake of the restaurant's, and ours, convenience. We've made the 'Golden City' restaurant a bit more profitable for deciding to dine there this evening. Lucky them hehehe! Anyways, today we seemed to have ordered more than we could eat. We welcome you plastic boxes, and the lot. I didn't really thought we needed a plastic bag, but then again as if we've purposely brought a bigger bag JUST to fit the left overs in. Frankly, I actually thought my appetite for the day was quite... bland. My cousin thought otherwise. Their grandma as commented on how 'heavy' I was getting; I'm 40 kilograms. Now I know how Jenny feels when she had, and still does, trouble with gaining weight xO! I curse you, fast metabolism! This is where the sins come in. During the road trip, in Edmund's car (cousin Marina's boyfriend), they started to talk about movies, and something about sins. This is what I remembered from the conversation:

Marina: aslkdfjalsdfj food alsdkj;fkladjf greedy asdjfa;sdkfj
Edmund: a;skjdf;asdj you mean gluttony? asdkj;ladsjf; money al;kjfaldjsf business al;skjdf;ajdsf greed.
Marina: a;lskjf;asjdf yeah akjd;lfajsdfj.
Edmund: ajsdl;fasdjf what about a threesome asdfja;lsdjf.
Fiona: Are you talking about the seven sins?
Edmund: Yeah, the seven deadly sins, although I can't name all of them. Lust, gluttony ...
Marina: Greed alsdkjfa;sldjf alsdkfj;lasfj
Edmund: aksdf;ajf how is it a sin? Yeah the devil's slouching on the couch with maccas in his hand. "This is so sinful!" *insert pretendence of holding a burger and eating it*
Marina: ;aldjf;ladjsf yeah! a;kjfa;sdfj It's not always about sex/lust and stuff aklsdjfa;lsdfj. Hey, what would you call about being wasteful? I mean, I don't think it's called that.
Edmund: Yeah asdkf;adsfja;j.
Fiona in the background, laughing her head off. The conversation continues on.

3 hours later...

Fiona: You know that maccas thing that Edmund said? I still find that funny!
Fiona and Marina laughs.

Yeah, I know. I'm a sad person to be still laughing from a 3 hour old joke. But it was funny! Now that's done, I became curious and did some little research on the seven deadly sins. This is what I discovered:

The seven deadly sins, also known as the capital vices and cardinal sins, werea classification of the most objectionable vices, originally used in early Christian teachings to educate and instruct followers regarding immoral man's tendency to sin. The seven sins are: lust (luxuria), gluttony (gula), greed (avaritia), sloth (acedia), wrath (ira), envy (invidia) and pride (superbia). According to the Catholic Church, a sin was either venial, which are considerably minor, and could be forgiven through any sacramentals of the church, or mortal, which is the more severe capital. The mnemonic SALIGIA was created from the first letter of each sin's latin name. The contemporary notion of Seven Deadly Sins in linked to the achievements of the 4th Century monk, Evagrius Ponticus, who listed eight 'evil thoughts': gluttony, fornication, avarice, sorrow, anger, discouragement, vainglory and pride. Refoule, in 1967, had analysised the thoughts, but later in 59O AD, it was Pope Gregory I (alias Pope Gregory the Great) who modified the list to form the common 'seven deadly sins.'

Would you look at that? You sure learn something new everyday =). Isn't life fun? *sarcasm* Nah, generally and usually, life is fun =). Life's too short to NOT have fun =).

Toodles everyone! For now anyways =).

bands bully sound managers

"Not always, but it does happen," said George. He repeatedly reminded us at the sound and stage setup workshop, just yesterday. Although it was 36+ degrees celcius, extremely difficult to get there, continuous bickering with mum, taps not wokring in the toilets, minimal amount of toilet paper, no air-conditioning and I was sweating my pants off, it wasn't that bad. George was funny and easy to commincate to, and he enlightened us with the neccessary information without making it sound too serious. Besides, we had free drinks and got to know each other. Moera was there too, and she was entertained by our sudden antics when George 'accidentally' blasted the speakers off! Figuratively speaking, of course, but he did show us some speakers that DID pop. There's still plenty more workshops to go to, but that's okay. At least now, it's more convenient for us due to the changes in timetable. The workshop's okay, but OMG! The place is practically isolated in the middle of NOWHERE! I really do wish it was actually closer *sigh*. Oh wells. This year is surely going to be a busy year. Hopefully, with pressure and stress on me most of the time, my body and brain will acknowledge that it's running against the time and act properly and well, like what a HSC student should be feeling. Anyways, everyone, if you live, or live close to, Fairfield, please participate in the 'Bring It On festival!'

life's a joke

19O1O9 - Nelson's 18th Birthday.
19O1O9 - Shirley C.'s 17th Birthday.

No matter how many times I watch 'The Dark Knight' I'll never get sick of it. The surrealism and excellence in Heath Ledger's dynamic performances will never cease to amaze me. His objective role was to bring the joker to life, and he did with great brilliance from his acting skills. Of course, the movie didn't receive a rating of 9/1O due to only the actors' performances; the storyline, itself, is a mind-consuming, heart-stopping, breath-taking exhilarating and lethargic complex in the perceptions of the audiences. Christopher Nolan, the director, did a superb job with the framework of the movie and completely deserves a standing ovation. Even now, 'why so serious' still aimlessly reaches the population's ears, leaving an electrifying reminder of that specific movie, Heath Ledger's last movie before he decided to watch Hollywood's continuous movie-makings and sudden stardom of new actors from afar. He will always be an unforgettable, Australian-born actor.

In saying that, when Jeffrey and I watched it again, I still felt that same exhilarating sensations I had when I first watched it with Sarah and Reuben. Of course, we could've watched a movie which we both haven't watched before, but since I forgot that I've watched the movie already, for I have forgotten which Batman movie it was, I answered with a 'no, I haven't watch it yet,' when, obviously, I did. Not that I mind watching it again, anyways =).

After 2 hours of action and drama, we arrived at Maccas, where friends of Jeffrey were temporarily dwelling there. But that's okay, for I was acquainted with two of them: Susan and Matt. It was also my rendezvous with Shirley and Patrick, who were celebrating Shirley's birthday alone. After a small talk, we went our separate ways.

Me and Shirley (the birthday girl).

Before we went any further, we had a coffee break. It was the first time I've ever ordered from Starbucks, and let me tell you this: never in my life have I ever had such bitter coffee before! Even with 7 packets of white sugar didn't do the trick! Jeffrey said I was destroying the coffee, but I barely made a dent in the flavouring in the bitter concoction! So, I have a sweet tooth, but HE has an absolute bitter one! We made a comparison between tea and coffee, and I high believe TEA will always taste good, even if it IS bitter, depending on what type of tea it is. Then again, I doubt tea would ever be bitter in the first place.

After searching through a couple of shops for a 'subtitled My Lucky Star,' we still couldn't find one. So, we decided to loiter around Kinokuniya until around 4PM, when Jeffrey had to leave. I guess, after our bickering and random meetings with acquaintances, the day wasn't so bad. I mean, I think I'll be stuck out home again if I didn't go out yesterday. Yelps, at least I kind of started my holiday homework ... xD !

That's it for now people! Adieu!

PS. I saw Lin going to work, at Parramatta, while I was on the way to the City! I wish I had work, just like her xO!

speed: 40 50 60

Would you look at that? It's been 4 months since my last driving lesson, and now I'm backagain! Yep. Fiona, the L plate driver is back on the streets again, so you better watch out! Of course, I was a bit off for the first couple of minutes since it's been ages since the last time I've drove a car. Anyways, the P platers (I like to call them POSERS!) were out there again, strutting their stuffs, unafraid to quickly drive pass this learner. Oh wells. Anyways, I'm glad that I've started driving again. I'm actually willing to sleep earlier for the sake of it. Actually, now that I think about it, I NEED to chnge my sleeping patterns before school starts, or else it'll be pretty hard to have a proper sleeping routine. My sleeping pattern now is sleeping at 6-7AM to 5-6PM and wake up for the rest of the day =). Yeah, that probably makes me nocturnal, and I know that you'll be thinking what I do at night. Just to tell you, it's not porn. Oh please, I'm not that sort of person ROFLS! But yeah. I just concerntrate better at night O_o. It's normal for some people xD. Anyways, I'm done blogging for now! Toodles!

the DJ terrain

I am terribly sorry that I haven't been updating my blog lately, but I guess I don't really have much of a life in the holidays ROFLS! There really isn't much to do besides the same old same old and soon, I'll be attempting to become serious with my summer holiday homework. Keyword: attempting. HAHAHA! Anyways, what I'm going to be blogging about today is how Titan and I signed up to be volunteers for the 'Bring It On' festival, in March. We've already signed up for all of the workshops that are available to us, and today was our first workshop. It was about DJ freestyling and all of us got a turn to try it. DJ is actually an abbreviation for Disc Jockey. I actually managed to do well in it. Just well =). It was heaps of fun really, how DJ PJL, our instructor, taught us how to use the different effects and stuff like that. It may be confusing at first, but if you play with it long enough, you'll eventually understanding. Of course, understanding and performing are two different activities. Although we understand the concept of DJing, performing it was quiet tricky. Of course, everything is tricky, so that's okay. The boys were better than the girls; it was kind of obvious. Anyways, it was great meeting up new people and all too! I can't wait til the next workshop!

Kimberley, Titan, Cassandra, Wendy and I.

Titan, Wendy, DJ PJL and I.

Also, before we went to the workshop, we (Shaun, TItan and I) went to watch Bride Wars, and it was really hilarious! Of course, the title practically defines 'chick flick,' that's why Shaun was so embarrassed that he couldn't leave the cinema until half the people were gone. Anyways, it's a good movie to watch, and I would rate it 4/5 stars hahaha! So if you're into weddings, best friends, and conspiracies, this is the movie for you!

I don't know when I'll blog again, since my life is so uninteresting
at the moment, but I'll try my best to continue blogging! That's it for now people! Bye bye!

Wendy and I.

tiresome woes

O3O1O9 - Christina L.'s + Kimberley's 17th Birthday.

The last couple of days were sure tiring. On Monday, I met up with a primary friend and we went around Parramatta, getting ourselves lost and wandering around. Thanks to him, I managed to be able to watch more Bleach episodes and movies ROFLS! Anyways, it was the first time that I've ever had noodle box too! Although the box looked small, there was so much food stuffed into it! It seemed as though it'll never end, but we managed to finish it =D. Unfortunately, on the way back, I lost my phone. Luckily, someone was nice enough to pick it up for me and leave it at Glenfield station, so thank you to that nice lady!

The next day, which was Tuesday, Titan, Vinh, Adam, and their two other friends, and I went to the city for the open uni event. We first went to UTS, then we took the bus to USYD, and then we walked all the way back to UTS. Due to starvation, I was in quite a broody mood during half the day. After eating lunch, I felt much better. We walked all the way down to Pitt street. We stopped at this music store and stayed there for a while. We were planning to go to UNSW but it was too late. Instead, we split up. The boys were going to the beach and Titan and I were going to Glenfield, to pick up my phone. We took the train, then bus it to the station, then got my phone, and back to Cabramatta station. The entire day was really tiring. I never walked so much in my life! Titan and I were comparing our experiences with walking, seeing what was worse. It may not be the worst, but it sure was close to it LOL!

Overall, both days were sure tiring! It was practically 2 weeks worth of excercise or something! I think, what made things worse was the weather. It was 38 degrees yesterday, and I'm pretty sure it was just as hot on Monday. This whole week's going to be pretty hot, but luckily, today was slightly grey with clouds, but it was just as hot. *sigh* talk about global warming!
